Pana acum doar fotografii ce detineau camere cu Compact Flash puteau fi satisfacuti din punct de vedere al spatiului de stocare, avand la dispozitie card-uri de 256GB. Incepand de astazi, cu ajutorul celor de la Lexar, si detinatorii camerelor foto ce folosesc SD (Secure Digital) card, au posibilitatea de a folosi aceeasi capacitate. Si dupa cum ne-am obisnuit de la Lexar, cardul de 256GB SDXC respectiv nu se lauda doar cu spatiul de stocare, ci si cu o viteza pe masura, garantand 60MB/s necesari pentru Class 10.

Diferenta intre SD si CF sta la viteza... un CF ieftinel are 400x, cat are un SD rapid :) Pentru multi utilizatori (SD avand tinta consumer predominant, departe de prosumer), 60mb/s sunt mai mult decat suficienti... dar pe un D4, 60 mb/s inseamna si un maxim de 6FPS RAW.

Totusi, chiar nu inteleg cine ar da 900$ pe un card, in loc sa cumpere 4 carduri de 128GB, de la acelasi producator, cu aceleasi caracteristici de clasa si garantie...

Tot timpul "cel mai" mare/rapid/etc a fost mai scump decat echivalentul a doi mai mici/lenti care impreuna depasesc pe "cel mai". De ce ar cumpara cineva 256 in loc de 128? Sunt o gramada de motive: cel mai simplu - sa aibe "cel mai mare card". Sau din comoditate, daca ai bani garla iti permiti confortul sa bagi 256 si sa nu schimbi dupa ce ala de 128 se umple. Sau... poate isi ia 2 de 256 sau 4 de 256, te-ai gandit la asta? :)

Tot timpul va exista un mic grup de oameni care-si vor cumpara un procesor cu 1000 euro, chiar daca exista un procesor cu doar 20% mai lent care costa 400 euro. Sau o masina de 2.000.000 euro, chiar daca exista o masina de 30.000 euro care e doar cu 30% mai putin "performanta".

Sunt oameni care cumpara masini de milioane de euro, dar piata respectiva este clar orientata catre ei.

In cazul de fata, cardul SD nu are o implementare prea larga in camere foto/video PROFESIONISTE, deci publicul tinta al acestui tip de card este cel de jos, de baza. Unde de banii respectivi iti cumperi 2-3 aparate foto. Apoi... nu stiu ce fotograf intreg la cap prefera sa copieze 256gb de fotografii... este moarte pura! Si pentru 4gb stai jumatate de eternitate.

Da, stiu ca preturile la lansare sunt mari si la fel de bine inteleg conceptul consumism de crestere exponentiala... dar tot nu imi pot justifica un card LENT, de dimensiunea asta...

(decat, desigur, de categoria oamenilor bogati si plictisiti, care cumpara ceva doar pentru ca este cel mai scump)

trickz, gandeste-te la cei care sunt in zona consumer "pro". Cu alte cuvinte, nici profesionisti, nici "point and click"-ers. Cei care merg in vacante fara a cara dupa ei notebook-uri, hdd-uri imense, DSLR-uri si alte nebunii. Dar care merg cu un G12, P7100 sau alte nebunii care fac RAW la peste 12Mpx. O zi de shooting in vacanta si e suficient sa umpli cei 256GB (mai ales daca faci si 2-3 filmulete FullHD).

Intr-adevar, pretul e imens, dar sa nu uitam ca e singurul de pe piata. E un high end pe care momentan si-l permit doar cei full de bani. Insa peste 3-4 luni nu va mai fi aceeasi situatia si preturile se vor duce la normal.
