Archos GamePad 2 apare si dispare

Asa cum era de asteptat, prima incercare de a se lupta cu consolele portabile a celor de la Archos nu a avut un mare succes. Poate in mare parte si datorita specificatiilor (Dual Core la 1.6Ghz, 1GB RAM, 8GB spatiu de stocare si un panou TN de 7" la rezolutie 1024 x 600), poate si datorita integrarii foarte slabe cu jocurile de Android. Prin urmare acum cateva zile a aparut subit in oferte noul Archos GamePad 2, cu un nou procesor Quad Core, 2GB RAM, 16GB spatiu de stocare si cu o rezolutie mult mai buna (1280 x 800) pe un panou care de data aceasta este de tip IPS.

Din pacate insa, pe cat de subit a aparut in ofertele unor site-uri din China, la fel de subit a si disparut... locul produsului fiind luat de un anunt prin care suntem invitati sa aflam mai multe in perioada "13 to 16th of October". Prin urmare, asteptam.

Mentionez ca vechiul Archos GamePad 2 s-a vandut la 169$ si se presupune ca noul model se va incadra in maxim 200$. Mai jos aveti si un film de unboxing si ceva game testing cu vechiul model. Imaginea atasata este cea care a aparut in oferta, dar nu pot garanta ca va arata la fel si produsul final.

Daca il compari cu Archos GamePad 1, ai dreptate. Daca il compari cu Archos GamePad 2, nu stiu daca ai, pentru ca nu l-a testat nimeni, nu l-a vazut nimeni (decat in renderul care a aparut si a disparut subit). Dar, ar trebui luate in calcul si urmatoarele:

1. GamePad 2 are 7" vs Shield cu 5".
2. GamePad 2 va costa maxim 169 USD vs Shield care costa 300 USD (si e 379 USD acum pe amazon.com).
3. GamePad 2 va avea aproximativ 300 grame ca greutate, vs Shield care are 579 grame (si totusi diagonala mult mai mica).
4. GamePad 2 va avea rezolutie mai mare (1280 x 800 vs 1280 x 720).

In aceeasi ordine de iei, sa nu fim rai si sa vedem si avantajele Shield:

1. Shield are CPU si GPU mai rapide (teoretic, pana la proba contrarie).
2. Shield poate face streaming de pe un PC echipat cu placa nVidia.
3. Shield poate rula jocuri din TegraZone.
4. Shield este deja disponibil.

Din pacate, pretul este de 200$ si nu 169$ asa cum aparuse initial. Totodata aflam ca bateria a crescut cu 50% fata de prima versiune a lui Archos GamePad.
