• Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Free Login Weekend Has Begun

Last week, Square Enix updated its MMO Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn with the v2.3 patch, Defenders of Eorzea. To celebrate the new features, users can sign in for free all weekend until midnight on July 20, Pacific time (that's 3:00 AM Monday morning for players on the East Coast). To be eligible, you'll have to have previously purchased and registered a copy of the game and your service account must be inactive during the promo.

Final Fantasy XIV’s First Expansion Heavensward: Here are All the Details and The First Screenshots | DualShockers

Square Enix just announced the first expansion of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, titled Heavensward. Besides the beautiful teaser trailer, they also provided quite a lot of interesting details, which you can see recapped below.

• The expansion is set in and Ishgard.
• The two key plot points are “the Dragonsong War” and “the Wyrmking versus Thordan and His Knights Twelve.”
• The level cap will be shifted from 50 to 60.
• Massive new areas will be included.
• A new playable race will be added. It won’t be the Viangaa, previously appeared as an april fool. Both male and female options will be available.
• There will be multiple new jobs introduced.
• There will be new primals, including some original to Final Fantasy XIV.
• There will be new dungeons and high level raids.
• Airships will be introduced. Free companies will be able to build them and visit floating islands.
• Plenty new gear and crafting recipes will be added.
• The new areas will include the city of Ishgard, the beastmen-ruled Dravanian forelands and the floating continent.

More information has been promised for London’s Fanfest on October 25th.
The expansion is designed to have a more dark and mature look compared to the earlier content of the game, and its themes will reflect that look, with a terrible war between Ishgard and Dravania, political and religious intrigue and social conflict.

Since when I first set foot in front of the locked gates of Ishgard back in 2010 I wanted to finally cross them. They will finally open for us all in Spring 2015.

Mi-am creat contul de square enix,toate bune si frumoase, am pornit PS4 am instalat jocul am introdus codul de activare, cand pornesc jocul imi apare la Square enix id un username pe care nu pot sa-l schimb, in concluzie ce e de facut?si nici pe site-ul final fantasy xiv nu ma pot loga cu noul cont.

Eu joc in continuare. Sunt pe Phoenix. Pe luna platesc 9 lire si jocul nu necesita psn plus. Joc pe PS4 pt ca este mai comod. Whm 50 si blm 50. Nu cred ca fac si alte joburi pt ca urmeaza update 2.5 si nu stau sa fac grind la relic weapon pt fiecare.

Final Fantasy XIV Reaches 4 Million Accounts; Celebrates With Limited Free Login Campaign | DualShockers

Square Enix announced today with a press release that its successful MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn reached four million registered accounts.
In order to celebrate this milestone, the publisher is enacting a limited free login campaign between February 27, 2015 at 12:00 a.m. PST to Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 a.m. PDT.
Eligible to take advantage of the campaign are all those who previously purchased the game, and have a currently inactive accounts.
If you left Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and want to check out all the new content that was released in the past few months, now it’s your chance.

Final Fantasy XIV Gold Saucer Patch Now Available for Download: 1.14 GB on PS4 and 1.36 GB on PC | DualShockers

If you want to be ready to mingle into the merry halls of the Manderville Gold Saucer when the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn servers will go live at 2 AM PST, you better get that bandwidth ready, because the patch is now ready for download on PS4, PS3 and PC
It’s also rather weighty. You’ll have to download 1360.10 megabytes on PC and 1140.19 on PS4.
The new patch includes a lot of new content, mostly focused on the Manderville Gold Saucer, including Triple Triad and an exceptionally deep Chocobo Racing feature that will let you breed and customize your chocobo. It’ll also let players get equipped earlier in sight of the Heavensward expansion, by adding the option to receive Carbontwine from the Crystal Tower weekly quest, in order to upgrade Ironworks armor.

Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward Expansion Gets a Release Date for PS4, PS3 and PC; Mac Version Announced | DualShockers

• During a panel at PAX East, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida finally announced the release date of the Heavensward expansion for Square Enix’s MMORPG.
• We’ll finally be able to explore Ishgard on June 23rd. Early Access will come on June 19th.
• Heavensward will be released with a Collector’s Edition, a Standard Edition and a All-in-One bundle with the game and the expansion together.
• Official pre-orders will start on March 16th, and a benchmark software will be released next month, including the character creation for the new race, the Au Ra.

Final Fantasy XIV Expansion Has Over 50 Hours of Gameplay, 9 New Areas and Much More on PS4, PS3 and PC | DualShockers

During the latest Letter from the Producer Live broadcast, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida gave the rundown of what we can expect from the upcoming expansion Heavensward, that will be released on June 23rd for PS4, PS3 and PC.

• The expansion includes over 50 hours of gameplay for the main scenario quest, with more coming with further patches numbered from 3.1 onwards.
• New quests will be introduced, including new job quests for both existing and new jobs, including crafters and gatherers, up to level 60.
• New areas will be betweet 50 and 100% bigger than the existing ones, and there will be nine of them.
• Flying mounts will be able to land and take off without restrictions. Flight will be possible in all expansion areas, but not in the old ones.
• Leveling of the new jobs will start from level 30 instead of going all the way from level 1.
• Multiple new actions will be added to every job. Level 3 limit breaks will be specific to each job, with the existing ones distributed among three of the existing jobs.
• There will be new equipment for all jobs, and new tomestones. Tomestones of Law will have no limit, Tomestones of Esoterics will have a weekly cap.
• New recipes and Materia V will be added for crafters.
• Crafters will have a specialization system for three classes of their chosing. They’ll still be able to level to 60 in all classes. “Scripts” will be used to change specialization. Each specialization will have access to specialist actions.
• Treasure hunts will be expanded and new gathering points and fishing holes will be added to all areas.
• A new “Divine favors” feature will allow you to find hidden gathering points. Favors will remain active only for a limited time and will be obtained only via scrips. The Regional Folklore system will also be added, allowing you to obtain high level gathering items.
• Gatherers and crafters will be able to procure rare items for Rowena, who will reward them with scrips and Exp.
• Red scrips will have no limit, while blue scrips will have a weekly limit, pretty much like tomestones.
• The expansion will also include high level levequests and FATEs, large scale FATEs, new field enemies and new elite marks for hunts.
• 8 new instanced dungeons will be introduced.
• The Alexander raid will be introduced in normal and savage mode.
• Primals Ravana and Bismarck will have their own battles in normal and hard mode.
• A new frontline area will be introduced, alongside a new ruleset and new PvP rewards.
• Free company houses will be improved with a free company workshop that will allow to craft housing items and airships.
• The Expeditionary system will be implemented, allowing free companies to explore the skies with their airship. It will be expanded in further updates.
• New furniture will also be introduced.
• The expansion will include new retainer ventures, an expanded sightseeing log, specific Ishgardian markets, new triple triad cards and adjustment to existing 2.X content.
• The duty finder will be expanded with the ability to challenge duties with smaller parties, new roulette types and conditions and the ability to sync the item level to the lowest in the party.
• A new loot system will be introduced for raids, including the “lootmaster” feature that will give control to one player, and the “all greed” system that will remove the ability to need if the party chooses.
• The DirectX 11 client will also be introduced.
• The Alexander dungeon will be opened two weeks after the release of the expansion. Two weeks later the savage version will open, allagan tomestones of esoterics will be available and the new frontline area will be opened as well.
