Interesant, vorbeste frumos domnu' Spencer, pentru asta e platit, dar nu pare un "empty suit", da impresia ca vorbeste sincer uneori.

Totodata nu pot sa nu ma intreb daca nu cumva asta se potriveste si cu patura pe tambal a lui $ony in ceea ce priveste NEO.
Ce nu am mentionat in posturile anterioare (in continuare cred ca NEO va veni in aceasta toamna, la timp pentru PSVR) nu inteleg cum o versiune (chair si castrata) a lui RX 480X ar putea scoate (conform leaked info) ~4teraflops, cand varianta discrete, fara implementare custom este pe la 5.5teraflops.
Pe de alta parte cifra asta de 5.5 e mai apropiata de 6teraflops (conform specs Scorpio) dar tot nu e 6. Sa avem cumva o varianta castrata a unui RX 490? (eu tot astept anuntul cu privire la chip-ul asta).
Nu prea se pupa ceva.. doar daca $ony nu a vrut cumva sa mearga initial pe un RX 470? (nu avem specs insa) pentru acest NEO/refresh, si intre timp M$ a ridicat stacheta :) Mda, speculatii, oricum, interesant de urmarit.
Am incercat sa pun tot interviul, nu ma mai lasa, in viitor o sa fac asa.
Se pare ca XBOX ONE S vine cu o surpriza pe care simpaticul Spencer a uitat sa o precizeze sau sunt eu neatent, citez de pe N4G (news for gamers) :

Da man, dar upscale-ul acela il face si un TV 4K, si poate il face chiar mai bine decat consola...
Eu nu cred ce spune Spencer, cum ca daca nu ai 4K Scorpio nu e pt. tine. Pai nu spunea ca avem extra performanta? Eu nu mai vreau jocuri care sa se instaleze/updateze in ore... Chiar daca nu am 4K, puterea de procesare (CPU, bus, cache) e oricum mai mare, deci ar trebui sa fie totul mai smooth si mai rapid. In plus, sa nu-mi spuna mie ca nu va ajuta un joc care pe Xbox One se chinuie cu vreo 20fps... sa se duca la peste 30 pe Scorpio. Refuz sa cred asta...
Spencer zice bine din pct de vedere al vânzărilor. Ia tu anul asta one s, ca apoi la anul când apare scorpio îl vei lua si pe acela 😃. Trebuia cumva să impulsioneze vânzările de one s, chiar folosind psihologia inversa în cazul scorpio

Stiu ca si TV-urile 4k pot face upscale, eu doar il citam pe individ. Si mie mi se pare dubios, Xbox One S face upscale la 4K dar it's all about them pixels...pana la urma om trai si om vedea ce si cum. Eu personal o sa investesc intr-un Xbox One S pentru ca imi place form factorul.
La naiba, un Xbox One S merita si doar ca player 4K la urma urmei... Jocurile sunt bonus! :)
Una peste alta e clara treaba: nu vor fi jocuri exclusive pe scorpio, ce sa nu meargă pe one. Deci: vrei 4k, iei scorpio. E ok 1080, rămâi pe one. Chestia asta mi se pare o mișcare interesanta, ca vor vinde bine jocurile, si in ultima instanța de acolo vine banul, nu din hardware. Deci rămân liniștit cu al meu one :-)

Vrea sa vanda inca un an jumatate s-ul, de asta tot da ca nu e diferenta decat pe 4k.
Acum, ca se tot vorbste despre pret ul S-ului, inteleg ca 300 $ e varianta de 500gb, sunt curios cat va fi cea cu hd-ul de 2TB.
Iarasi ramane de vazut pe ce segment de pret se va plasa scorpio, poate aici se va face diferenta. pare un pachet hardware destul de scump, si nu stiu daca M$ sunt dispusi sa piarda niste bani. pana atunci va fi clar si ce va face VR-ul celor de la Sony, asa ca mai e timp de pozitionare pe piata.

Eu o vad mult mai simpla treaba. La fel cum pana acum aveau X360 si X1 la preturi diferite, apoi X1 si Elite-ul ala cu SSHD si controllerul ala smecher asa vor si la anul ce vine.
Doar ca au schimbat un pic reteta deoarece vor/intentionat, sa ia fata lui Sony, care in acest moment se indreapta spre 50 de milioane de console vandute. Si cum reteta Sony de la lansarea PS4 a fost buna (more power / just games), merg si ei in aceasi directie, dar fac un pas mare in fata ajutati de AMD, care cauta sa faca bani cat de mult poate din vanzarea care producatorii de console, ca spre ceilalti e dominat de Intel & nVidia.
Schema asta merge si la telefoane de minune, an de an vedem telefoane cu mult mai multe nuclee, la frecvente cat mai mari (citisem de 2,4 GHz pe un octacore mobil god dammit...) si 6-8 Gb Ram (god dammit again....). Eu cand ma uit la desktopul meu cu Core Duo si 3 Gb Ram ma bufneste plansul :evil:
Also specificatiile partiale (neconfirmate de Phil cu toate ca a fost intrebat direct in interviu) dau 12 Gb GDDR5 ca memorie standard pe Scorpio. Posibil ajutata de un octa-core cu frecventa mare si noile GPU-uri de la AMD care ar putea avea chiar 60 CU. Asociate cu un SSHD rapid si niste developeri seriosi...ar fi wow! Pretul la lansare nu-l vad mai mic de 599$ pentru Premium console, ba chiar si mai mare. Dar cu siguranta va avea cumparatori!
Eu as zice ca Scorpio va fi 499$ la lansare, iar S-ul va ajunge in a doua jumatate a lui 2017 la 199$ (var de baza 500-1000Gb).
