Asta e bine. Probabil ar fi fost si mai bine daca am fi stiut ce fel de drive este... daca e USB 3.0, de 7200 RPM sau de 5400... Oricum, ar fi o chestia haioasa ca toata lumea sa inceapa sa instaleze pe external drives pt. ca e prea lent cel intern :evil:
MonkY eu m-am uitat la legatura care a fost postat anterior catre pagina electronica cu demonstratia si se pare ca era un USB 3.0 cu 5400 RPM (Seagate Expansion 4 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive STBV4000100), dar cel care a facut testul nu stim ce HDD extern a folosit.Quote:

Nu am vrut sa spun ca doar acel HDD de 4TB se poate adauga la consola, cu acela au testat cei de la MS (Nelson nu-stiu-cum). Sincer eu am 2 jocuri, 3 demo-uri si cateva aplicatii care in total ocupa 263GB, respectiv aproape jumatate, probabil pentru mine era suficent daca faceau consola cu HDD intern de 1TB si nu de 500GB, jocurile ocupa foarte mult spatiu.
Legat de adaugare de noi prieteni, eu am adaugat toate persoanele de aici, pentru ca in rest aveam doar 4 prieteni si avand in vedere ca decat pe "voi" va mai cunosc cu console v-am adaugat. Sa nu te superi pe mine dar nu imi permit sa le scriu tuturor mesaj de sunt de pe cg :).

So I guess you can say an external drive saves at least a few seconds in any regard, but it seems to benefit the most from loading savegames or just loading stuff to play in general. Some real time saving in Forza and Dead Rising with the external drive. Did notice I can't move my FIFA 14 to an external drive and read somewhere you can't move Skylanders either so I guess there are some restrictions in place for some games.

I was not sure if this deserved it's own thread, but since it might be missed buried in another thread, I figured I would post some of my results from doing some testing.
I am one of the Beta testers for the June Xbox One update that add's the ability to use up to 2 External Hard Drives. I am using a Seagate 4tb Self Powered Hard Drive. Since I was not 100% sure about using a USB powered drive, I went with a self powered drive just toe ensure no issues.
When I first updated and installed the HDD the system detected it immediately and prompted to format the drive. After doing this, I started to move games over from the internal HDD to the external. When I booted up Forza 5, now running off of my External HDD my Wife said that it seemed to load up faster. I also noticed this, but did not time it. We have 2 Xbox One's in our house and I have the same games loaded on both, so we decided to test it on one of the games that I feel has very long load times, Ryse: Son of Rome.
Our set up is as follows: In our Living room Xbox One, Digital version of Ryse: Son of Rome installed on the internal HDD. In our gaming room we have another Xbox One, Digital version of Ryse: Son of Rome installed on the new external HDD.
For the game, I am using the beginning of Chapter 4 titled "Trial by Fire".
Trial by Fire Load time using Internal HDD : 1.01.55 (one minute, 1.55 seconds)
Trial by Fire Load time using External HDD: 44.49 seconds
So I am seeing about a 15-16 second improvement in load times for this level of this game. Since it is late, we did not test more games, but since we are waiting for the arrival of our other External HDD, we will do some more tests tomorrow and update this thread, But based on our first timed test, definitely an improvement in load times.

Nu e doar impresia ta, ci asa se intampla cu Xbox-ul dintotdeauna, in special in Romania, unde o mare perioada nu se stia decat de Sony (si Panasonic). Piata pt. Xbox a fost intotdeauna mica la noi, dar din fericire nici chiar atat de mica precum la Nintendo.
Pe langa piata mica, cei care sunt chiar fani (sau colectionari), prefera sa nu vanda jocurile... La naiba, asa am preferat si eu. Adica eu le cumparam cu 250 RON si ma rugam de cineva sa le ia cu 50? Si la final parea ca mi s-a facut chiar o favoare...
Cauta pe eBay (in special pe US), sa vezi ca gasesti tone de SH-uri pt. Xbox One. Din pacate US ramane main target pt. marca Xbox.
@Monky La fel e si in Mare Britanie, am fost pe la sute de clienti pana acum, xbox-ul conduce detasat.
Daca te duci un UK si vrei sa cumperi o consola si intrebi ce iti recomanda intre Xbox si Ps .. toti iti recomanda Xbox ... dar nu stiu de ce:)
Si daca ar recomanda PS4 ai stii ce de? :drummer:

M-am exprimat eu gresit scuze, stiu ca Smartglass e pt android si ios ca il am si eu, ma refeream la secunda 10 din filmuletul de mai sus, cand esti acolo la profile in xbox. Voua va apare asa cu Name sharing Settings ca mie nu? Update-urile de SO apar in continuare automat... nu?
Ecranul ala este din Xbox One nu din Smartglass din cate vad eu.
Asta m-a indus pe mine in eroare, banuiesc ca acel update va veni nu trebuia sa-l avem deja. Corectati-ma va rog daca ma insel.

PS: Ca fapt divers si potential offtopic, MS inca nu a rezolvat problema cu network compatibility, eu in continuare cu providerul meu de Internet nu pot face nimic ce presupune P2P pe Xbox One (Fifa multiplayer, Party Chat, Ryse Coop, etc). Orice altceva merge perfect, multiplayer care nu este 1 vs 1, skype, orice.
Nu reluam discutia cu NAT open, dmz, uPnP si port forwarding ca nu e de la astea le-am parcurs pas cu pas pe 3 routere diferite de mi-a dat sangele prin urechi. Nu este user behaviour... mi s-a confirmat inclusiv telefonic.
Pur si simplu consola Xbox One nu functioneaza corect dpdv Networking cu anumite tipuri de conexiuni si cu anumiti ISP...

Update-ul pe care l-am facut a fost update-ul lunii mai (adica 6.2.10951.0 (xb_rel_1405.140514-2300) fre). Cel din luna iunie inca n-a iesit oficial doar beta (pt. cei care s-au inscris in program).
Aici este lista cu toate update-urile :) (urmeaza sa apara cel din iunie)
Cat despre clasica notificare, din cate stiu (si scrie) aceasta s-a scos si a fost inlocuita cu o optiune (vezi poza din atasament) care te lasa sa faci update-ul manual si cand vrei tu, dupa ce aceasta este disponibil :)
Bun merci frumos pentru lamurire, acum e limpede totul.
