The latest system update for Nintendo Switch adds the ability to remap the buttons on your controller. The Ver. 10.0.0 update went live yesterday, and also adds the ability to transfer software data between the internal system memory and an inserted SD card. Additionally, Nintendo has added six new player icons featuring characters from Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

This update should help those who primarily play on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and have to constantly look down at their hands when a prompt for "X" comes on the screen. This new feature only includes the Joy-Cons, as well as the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, meaning third-party controllers are unable to be remapped. Each Switch can hold up to five custom configurations for each controller. In addition, Nintendo Switch Lite can hold up to five configurations. To access this menu, after you update to the 10.0.0 version, you must go to "System Settings," then select "Controllers and Sensors."

If your Switch is connected to the internet, you should be prompted to download the new update if you attempt to enter any software. If you are not automatically prompted, you can manually kick off the download by going to "System Settings," then "System," and selecting "System Update."

Update, April 24: Nintendo has now issued a statement (Google Translate) confirming up to 160,000 Nintendo Accounts have been affected by the recent breach. Nicknames, date of birth, gender, country/region, and email address information may have been viewable by hackers, the company says. There's no indication that credit card information was visible to hackers, though, even as some accounts may have seen illegitimate purchases through linked payment information.

Nintendo says it has discontinued the ability to link outdated Nintendo Network IDs to Nintendo accounts, which appears to have been the main vector for the credential-stuffing attacks. Compromised Nintendo Network IDs will have their passwords reset automatically.

Nintendo continues to urge its users to activate two-factor authentication on their accounts to prevent any further breaches.

Burnout Paradise Remastered hits Nintendo Switch in June... for a cool £45

Slightly over a year after it first released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Burnout Paradise Remastered is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch on 19th June - for a heavy price tag.

The Switch version was announced during the mini Nintendo Direct back in March, but now we know the official release date. The action-racing game is already available for pre-order via the Nintendo eShop, although I hope you've been saving up your pennies, as it'll set you back £44.99. That's pretty steep, particularly considering the PC version only cost £17.99 when it released in August last year.
Despite the cost, Burnout Paradise Remastered on Switch may yet be worth your while - as the console version got the thumbs-up from Christian Donlan, who described it as "vast, speedy and gloriously overwhelming".

Little Inferno Is Getting A Gorgeous Physical Edition On Switch

Super Rare Games has revealed its latest physical edition release, and this time fans are being treated to none other than Little Inferno from Tomorrow Corporation.

5,000 copies have been printed in total, with pre-orders set to go live on Super Rare Games' website from 7th May. There's a standard edition for £29.99 which comes with a 20-page full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker and three trading cards, or you can also get a Steelbook version for £44.99.
