VG247 Blog Archive Naruto 3DS title announced in Japan
A new Naruto 3DS title’s been announced in this week’s issue of V-Jump in Japan.

The game’s called Naruto Shippuden Nin Rittai Emaki Saikyou Ninkai Kessen, which suggest the game takes place around the time of the Ninja Council series.
The title’s said to be a side-scrolling action title with “3D fields,” as well as a “gimmicks and stage formations” bit that uses the 3D effect of 3DS.
It’ll launch this spring in Japan, according to Takara Tomy, with it being aimed close to the release of 3DS itself on February 26.
VG247 Blog Archive Atlus announces first 3DS project, mostly leaves out the “3D” part
Aching to scratch your head? Dying for an excuse to just let your fingers go to town on your cranium?
Well, this ought to do the trick.
Famitsu (via Siliconera) has the first details on Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclock, and if you’re hoping for a full-blown sequel to what’s easily one of the best RPGs on the DS, you probably ought to brace yourself for disappointment. Instead, Overclock is a remake of the original Devil Survivor with better graphics, full voice-acting, and a new episode called the 8th day.
Oh, and get this: all the fights, action, cut-scenes, spells, and other things worth splashing with a shiny new coat of 3D paint take place on the bottom screen. You know, the one that’s not 3D. So, what is on the swank upper floor? Menus, mostly.
Since you’re making Catherine, Atlus, we’re pretty used to not having any idea what you’re thinking. This time, though, it’s most certainly not for the right reasons.

    http://www.vg247.com/2011/01/07/repo...with-10-games/
Inside Games is reporting that the 3DS’s launch line-up for February 26 will include around 10 titles.

The site says that specifics will be announced on Saturday, more than likely at Japan’s Nintendo World demo event. Only 15 games will be playable at Nintendo World.
You can see a full schedule of playable and video-only titles at the Nintendo World event portal.
The report’s also claiming that 3DS games will be around 1,000 above the DS’s standard pricing of 4,800.
Pricier games will apparently go 2,000 higher. This pricing would put the 3DS closer to the PSP than the DS.
3DS releases on February 26 in Japan. Dates for Europe and the US are expected to be announced at events in Amsterdam and New York on January 19.

VG247 Blog Archive Nintendo World 2011 Day 1 conference report: Japanese 3DS launch line-up confirmed, battery life at 3-8 hours, more
The 3DS-centric Nintendo World 2011’s currently ongoing right now in Tokyo, where a couple of heavy news bits have already dropped.

    Launch line-up for Japan announced
Famitsu (via Kotaku) is carrying the launch line-up for the Japanese launch of 3DS. There’s going to be eight titles at release.
The pricing for the games vary from 4,800 as the cheapest to 6,090 as the most expensive. The price for 3DS titles was expected to be around 5,800. Pricier games were expected to be at 6,800.
The list is also two games short then what was previously rumoured, which means the final two will be announced at the event tomorrow or this is it.
Full list is below, as well as prices.
    • Nintendogs + Cats (4,800)
    • Winning Eleven Soccer 3D (5,800)
    • Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (4,800)
    • Samurai Warriors Chronicle (6,090)
    • Puzzle Bobble 3D (4,980)
    • Ridge Racer 3D (6,090)
    • Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (5,040)
    • Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles (5,980)
Battery life confirmed at 3-8 hours, charging takes 3.5 hours
Nintendo’s released a full spec list of 3DS on its official website, confirming in the process the length of time for its battery. For its battery to be fully charged, it’ll takes three-and-a-half hours.
For battery life, it’ll last somewhere between three and five hours if you play a 3DS game and if backlighting’s been turned down, although that gets extended to between five and eight hours if playing old DS software.
Battery life will, obviously, take a hit when the backlighting is turned up.
Back in September, when 3DS’s Japanese date of February 26 was announced, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said it was expected the battery would be charged a lot more frequently then current DS SKUs on the market.
    Thanks, Kotaku.
    Nintendo confirms first-party release line-up
Nintendo’s gone on to announce its first-party release line-up along with release timelines, alongside confirmation of Nintendogs + Cats as a launch title.
Steel Diver, Pilotwings Resort and the 3DS version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are down for spring. Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Rising are all down for summer.
Mario Kart 3DS, Animal Crossing 3DS and Paper Mario 3DS are yet TBA.
    3DS packaging shown off
Nintendo’s decided to show off the packaging people will be seeing when they pick up a 3DS next month in Japan and in March in Europe and America.
The contents of what will be inside said packaging have also been revealed. They are, via GAF:
    • 3DS console
    • Charger Stand
    • AC Adaptor
    • Dedicated Stylus
    • 2Gb SD Memory Card
    • Six AR cards

    deci ii clar: 3DS-ul e facut si pt hardcore gameri. BlazBlue: CS2 confirmed for 3DS 3DS News - Page 1 | Eurogamer.net
Beat 'em up sequel BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II has been announced for Nintendo 3DS.
News of the follow up to Arc System Works ace 2010 fighter popped up at a Nintendo event in Tokyo this weekend.
No details have been confirmed yet other than the info card posted below.
According to Andriasang, the text on the card translates as "Fighting Game + Visual Novel", perhaps hinting at a slightly different approach to the straight scrapping of the original.
The game has already been confirmed for the PSP, with that version due in Japanese stores in March.
The original game belatedly launched in Europe on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last month, scoring a muscular 8/10 from Eurogamer's Matt Edwards.
Things are looking bright for fighter fans on the 3DS. On top of this, there's Street Fighter IV 3D and Dead or Alive: Dimensions to look forward to as well.
