Tokyo Jungle announced for PlayStation 3
Believe it or not, after years of wondering where Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s been on the development side, it’s in a city full of animals. The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed Tokyo Jungle, a game set in the future where humans are gone and animals roam the streets of Tokyo.
The game has players controlling animals such as lions, foxes, elephants, and pooches in a ruined Tokyo. They’ll fight to survive against the other creatures that roam the city. Both a Story and Survival Mode will be available, allowing players to play through missions and discover the truth behind mankind’s disappearance or play as a single creature and fight until they die.
The title’s coming out of Sony’s PlayStation C.A.M.P. amateur development program, which apparently has a good reputation for making bizarre games pretty darn well.
This is good. Maybe SCEJ is working on a real title in the background.
