Unravel developer working on a sequel with EA (update) | Polygon
Unravel developer Coldwood Interactive has signed a publishing agreement with Electronic Arts for its next game, EA announced today.
"We could not be more excited to continue working with Martin Sahlin and the great team at Coldwood, and to see the next adventure they bring to life," said Patrick Söderlund, executive vice president of EA Studios.
Coldwood developed the physics-based puzzle platformer Unravel, which stars the adorable fuzzy figure Yarny and was released in February on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
EA did not offer any information on the game that Coldwood is now working on. However, Söderlund said today during EA's 2016 Investor Day that the publisher "signed a new agreement with Coldwood for the next version of the game," which suggests that Coldwood's next project is a sequel to Unravel.
Update: Reached for comment, a representative for EA confirmed to Polygon that the agreement between Coldwood and EA "will be for the next Unravel
