While Spencer can't say too much, he gave us enough to set the hype high. "As somebody who's played all of Miyazaki's games over at least the last decade, this is clearly the most ambitious game that he's done," he says. "I mean, I love his games, but seeing some of the gameplay mechanics stuff that he's tackling, he and the team are tackling this time, of the setting, working with another creator in terms of story. I love it."

The other creator Spencer mentions is, of course, Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, who has worked on the story for the upcoming open world game. It's also supposedly going to have more open-ended areas than is typical in a From Software game. They typically have branching paths, but use a series of passages and locked doors to guide your progress.

According to Spencer, Elden Ring is Miyazaki "expanding his horizons." He also says that leaves the room while Spencer plays. "I think that's because I'm a bad player, and then when he comes back we'll have a conversation about things that I think," he says. "He's so passionate about what he does. It's one of the things I just love about getting to work with him on some of these games and seeing them come to our platform." [...]

Off-screen footage shows the first gameplay of From Software’s next title

The video, which has been seen by VGC but cannot be shared for legal reasons, is labelled as ‘Bandai Namco confidential’ and shows a significant amount of off-screen footage, from what appears to be a planned gameplay trailer for the From Software title.

The video leak represents the first significant update on Elden Ring since it was announced in June 2019, and the first time anyone has seen gameplay outside of its publisher or developer.

Din filmari, pare content pe alocuri reciclat....ma asteptam la ceva inovator macar din punct de vedere al design-ului....asta daca o fi final product. Sekiro a fost o directe foarte buna imo....nu cred ca sunt singurul plictisit de ideea de a omora dragoni in 2021 sper sa nu fie gen skyrim sau gothic style. (ma refer la poveste, artstyle etc)

The latest leaked clip, which originates from the 4Chan forum and has been widely posted on social media, shows off-screen gameplay with the same Bandai Namco confidential watermark which was brandished on the Elden Ring footage which leaked in March.

It’s possible that the clip is part of the same leak, which was said to show work-in-progress footage that’s more than a year old, and thus is likely not indicative of an impending reveal.

The highly-anticipated Souls spin-off hasn’t been seen since its announcement at E3 2019. However, in its latest financial results published on Friday, From’s parent company Kadokawa Corporation hinted that it could be released with the next 12 months.

A few days ago, there was a supposed six second internal trailer for Elden Ring leaked online. The trailer was said to showcase various environments and included a confidentiality warning watermark. When this news broke, there was no substantial confirmation that the leak was genuine. However, the quality of the work, and the previously leaked trailers for Elden Ring left many fans believing in its legitimacy.

However, a Reddit user by the name of Blue_Affinity has exposed the leak as a fake. The user posted several hours ago in the Elden Ring subreddit with a link to an artist’s portfolio. The artist in question was Jack Phan, a 3D Concept Artist who initially posted the “trailer” as a thesis presentation inspired by FromSoftware’s Souls series. Phan did all the modelling, texturing, and lighting work featured in the piece. It is uncertain where the claims that the video was an Elden Ring leak originated, but the artist has stated that he is "flattered" people were convinced it was genuine.
