Thread: Final Fantasy XV

  1. #141 SP
    Turbo Killer RonanN1's Avatar
In just one month, Final Fantasy XV has somehow transformed from assumed vaporware to a genuine game that feels like it's actually going to come out. After a year and a half of radio silence, today it seems like there's FFXV news every week.

New info + gameplay walktrough :

    Walking the world
    • The first video shown is a portion of the Dascae region which will be on the demo
    • Events and enemy position removed/changed for this video to show just the walking
    • You can eat and gather information at gas stations
    • If you can see something in the background you can go to it
    • Depending on the shape of the ground Noct and friends walking animations will change
    • If you keep running you can see your friends tire and try to catch their breath
    • You can fish in streams, rivers, and the ocean!
    • You can fight the wildlife. As they are always active, be careful as they will attack if you get close
    • There are buildings in the forest with people living in them. You can enter some of these buildings
    • There are also animals that aren't enemies like cats and dogs
    • In order to make the mountains the developers actually climbed one. They might show a video of them doing this one day
    • Demons like the Naga or the Goblins will come out of the caves at night
    • It's dangerous at night and is safer to rest at a gas station or by other means
    • The party members dialogue will change in accordance to the time
    • A Chocobo was shown in the forest. Look forward to finding out more in the demo
    • The enemy airship patrols will sometimes land and fight you
    • Magitek Armor will make an appearance. (was not meant to have been said)
    • The Dascae region is as a large as 10% of the game

    The Tech Demo!
    • Currently transferring the game from Ebony to Luminous
    • Engine transferring currently 80% complete and will be 100% done by the time the demo is out
    • Working with Sony and MS to help push the hardware to its limits
    • Not all, but you can destroy buildings and the ground
    • With the power of Luminous FFXV will far surpase FF:AC
    • Another tech demo is planned to be shown at a later date
    Your questions to Tabata

Q.What if I mash the attack button instead of holding it down?
A.Even if you mash the attack button the combo will still operate fine and connect together. It's possible to counter while you button mash; if you hold the button down you have to be more careful of the enemies movements and it's more strategic.

Q.Will Type0 HD be available digitally and will it come with the FFXV demo?
    A.Of course

Q.Why doesn't the MP show up on the UI?
A.The battle UI is still temporary. When it is complete it will clearly show the MP

Q.I'm a little worried the game will only last 40 hours
A.The main story itself will take 40 hours. Beating dungeons and other actives will make the length of the game much longer

Jocul asta imi provoaca o stare de "warm-and-fuzzy" in stomac.

    New trailer + info :

Final Fantasy XV and Episode Duscae Get an Airship Full of New and Jucy Information at Jump Festa | DualShockers

During a livestream from Jump Festa Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata answered quite a few questions from the fans about the game and gave a nice slew of information on his own.
Here’s a summary of what we learned:

    • The giant golem shown in today’s trailer was Titan. Originally he should have been in the Episode Duscae demo, but they decided to remove him to avoid spoilers.
    • The demo will include a working summon.
    • The demo will have dual languages, with voice acting both in English and Japanese.
    • There’s no loading screen when leaving and entering towns. The team would like everything to be seamless, but that’s still in the works.
    • In towns you can go shopping and sleep in hotels like in Final Fantasy games of old.
    • Characters will need to rest once in a while, or suffer penalties. At a certain point it also blocks your ability to level up.
    • You can keep on going three days without sleeping, and each day is 60 minutes in real time.
    • You can ride trains to travel from one location to the other. You can also move freely inside the train as it travels.
    • The new character Cindy is very important for the gameplay and supports the protagonist, even if she’s not one of the main characters.
    • There is magic, but showing it is not a priority for now. The team is working on the core system. Magic will be introduced when everything works properly.
    • The capital city of Noct’s country is called Insomnia.
    • The “dog cam” shown in the town gameplay video isn’t actually in the game. It’s just a way to show the town without spoilers.
    • The town showcased is not the biggest in the game.

Tabata-san apologized for not saying earlier that Episode Duscae will be only included in the first print of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Plans changed after his last public appearance.
In order to apologize, he mentioned that the team will try to release something else for everyone, and while he can’t make promises for now, he’d like to release the part of teh Tokyo Game Show demo where he changed the weather and summoned Behemoth, plus more additional content. It’ll come after Episode Duscae.

P.S. O mica sugestie : titlul thread-ului ar trebui sa fie Final Fantasy XV si atat. Versus XIII e "dead and buried". Multumesc.

The Final Fantasy XV demo will have a surprising piece of removed content. Although it’s figured prominently in teaser trailers, you will not be able to drive the car in the demo.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae – Tons of Info Shared on Gameplay, World and Much More | DualShockers

During the Active Time Report Page 4.0 broadcast, Game Director Hajime Tabata gave quite a lot of information about the Episode Duscae demo, which will be released on March 17th alongside Type-0 HD.
    • Having Noctis warp around, block and evade costs MP.
    • You can select weapon abilities with the D-pad.
    • The title screen changes according to real world time between day and night.
    • Noctis can’t go very far into the water in the demo, but he will be able to go further in the final game.
    • The AI reacts according to Noctis’ movements. When he changes speed, his party will too. They also react automatically to the situation.
    • A red “Encounter Gauge” appears when enemies are close, and battle starts. At that point the marker disappears.
    • Not all monsters are hostile, but they will defend themselves if attacked.
    • Depleting MP when Noctis dodges is shown by a blue effect.
    • Enemies will come in a wide variety of sizes.
    • When you camp your party grows closer, making new party attacks available.
    • “Rush” weapons can unleash continuous attacks.
    • You can change weapons while in battle via the menu.
    • Yellow markers indicate a quest’s destination.
    • One of the big bosses in the demo is “Behemoth Smoke Eye.” You can find his footprints, giving clues to his location.
    • The demo’s main goal is to gather money to get Noctis’ car fixed. Killing Behemoth gives a large monetary reward.
    • Companions will call Noctis over when they see an interesting spot.
    • It’s more dangerous at night than during the day.
    • Poison is indicated by a red effect.
    • Food cooked by Ignis at camping spots gives beneficial effects. They include focus and speed bonuses.
    • After you receive your buffs, you can level up if you earned enough experience.
    • You can fast travel between camping spots.
    • If you move to higher ground, you can be safer from enemies without ranged attacks and earn yourself some time to regain MP.
    • When your HP reaches zero, you don’t die immediately. You can be healed by your partners before the red gauge runs out. If it does run out, Noctis dies.
    • The demo won’t run at full 1080p/30FPS, but that remains the target for the full game.
    • The map of the full game is 10-20 times bigger than that of the demo.
    • The demo will not have the weather system implemented. That’s because weather effects won’t be completed in time. Those effects will include wet grass that will dry up when the rain stops.
    • Noctis has his phantom sword in the demo. The number of swords will vary, and they will surround the character. There will also be normal weapons. You have to actually find the phantom swords during gameplay.
    • Party attacks are really powerful, but there aren’t many in the demo, as they’re based on party progression.
    • When you finish the main story of the demo, that’s not the end. There are more tasks unlocked afterwards, and you can continue looking for phantom swords.
    • Data won’t transfer to the final version, but your save data might have an effect in the complete game.
    • Adamantoise won’t appear in the demo. It will be in the full game.
    • The ending of the demo will include story elements.
    • The game itself is 60% complete now. Some elements are further along than others.
    • Next week there will be another presentation from London.
Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo special reveal live stream - full report - Gematsu

Square Enix gave a full rundown of the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo included with early copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD during a special reveal live stream this morning.

The broadcast featured Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata, among a trio of other developers playing a live version of the demo on PlayStation 4.

Get all the new information below.

    Three-Hour Demo

Players won’t be able to drive the car in the Episode Duscae demo (the “Drive” option is grayed out in the Travel Menu). Exploration will be done on foot.

In the final version, there are times when you aren’t able to drive, but in the demo it’s cut. Tabata explains that in the demo, the car is being worked on, and the gang is trying to get money to pay for the repairs.

The demo has an ending, which will take about three hours to reach.

In addition to first-print retail copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the demo will also be included with the digital version (priced at 6,100 yen in Japan). The demo will be included with digital purchases made within the first two months of release.

    Controls

The demo uses the following control scheme (in cases where multiple inputs are listed, it is “PlayStation 4 / Xbox One”):
    • Camera - Right stick
    • Movement - Left stick
    • Jump - X button / A button
    • Dash (Free run) - L3 button / Left stick button
    • Attack - Square button / X button
    • Combos - Continue holding down the attack button
    • Shift (Warp) and Shift Break - Circle button / B button – Warp towards the locked-on enemy and attack. This consumes MP.
    • Guard - L1 button / LB button – Avoid normal enemy attacks at the cost of MP. It’s a matter of timing. The blue light that shines when you evade is the MP being spent.
    • Ability - Triangle button / Y button – Each weapon has its own pre-set abilities. By using the X button / A button and left and right sticks, you can change the ability at any time without stopping the attack. MP is consumed when using abilities.

Pfoai, sunt gelos pe el. Omul a jucat 2 ore de Final Fantasy XV: Holy **** I Just Played Final Fantasy XV! Mi-e frica insa de ce spune aici:
The good news: it's brilliant in a lot of ways, and from what I've played so far, it really does feel like a Final Fantasy game. The bad news? Well, it's got some serious technical issues, and I'm worried it's too ambitious for even today's current-gen hardware.
Si da speranta + ma distreaza ce spune spre final:
So, yes. I walked away from the demo with two important thoughts:
I am optimistic about the future of Final Fantasy.
I wonder how much processing power is used on their hair?
Sper totusi ca nu iese pe PS5...
