Final Fantasy XV release date announcement event set for March 30, new Niflheim details and battle footage - Gematsu

    Get the information below :

    Magic

There are two different disciplines of magic: elemental magic and ring magic. Ring magic only becomes usable after a certain point in the story, and can only be used by the bearer of the royal ring of Lucis, which is passed down the royal line.

Elemental magic consists of Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder. These magic attacks have different effects based on the weather and environment. For example, certain objects, including grassy fields, are flammable when casting Fire. Or, if you’re using Thunder while it’s raining, it will deal more damage. If there is water in a Blizzard attack’s initial area of effect, then it will freeze for a bit.

Elemental magic is described as an item of sorts, but not the kind you can purchase. Elements are present in various locations around the world, and are a type of energy you can gather. The energy you gather can be used to create magic and stored as an important part of your inventory. You can then can equip that item in place of a weapon to use in battle. In the footage that follows below, we see Noctis use Fire like he’s tossing a grenade.
    Niflheim Empire

The Niflheim Empire is the opposing force in Final Fantasy XV. It has a staggering number of military troops at its disposal. Square Enix detailed a bit about the empire’s condition just after the game begins.

The Niflheim Empire has already conquered and occupied a vast majority of the world at the start of the story. The Kingdom of Lucis, however, still maintains its independence, and is the last bastion against Niflheim, but is being pressured.

Niflheim and Lucis rely on different things as a source of military might. Lucis’ major power comes from magic. They have the crystal and can use its power to erect magic barriers and such to prevent enemy invasions. Niflheim, on the other hand, is a mechanized civilization. Their regular infantry units are non-human, magitek troopers available in overwhelming numbers.

A lot of things will happen once the story is in motion, but the above is the situation at the very start of the game.
    Gameplay

The latest footage shows the team infiltrating an imperial base at Niflheim. Infiltrating bases is something you can do and a way you can enjoy the game that’s different from the main story.

The camera has been improved, greatly refined from what we saw in the Episode Duscae demo. It’s being automated as much as possible so that players won’t need to control it manual.

The swirling weapons selection is back – that being the conjuring of weapons before choosing one. This feature had always planned to be incorporated into the game.

The user interface is drastically different than before. The team is in the middle of final UI adjustments, so it may change some more. The four weapons are now incorporated to the directional buttons, so players can instantaneously switch between weapons. This addition was based on user feedback from the Episode Duscae demo.

The fourth combo has also been revealed. The previously three combos were auto combos, parrying combos, and combos triggered by allies. More commands become available as your allies level up. When a player uses such a commend, the camera switches to the ally performing the command, then back to Noctis. It’s a command to an ally that players can use at their own discretion.
    March Event

Square Enix will announce the release date, price, and a lot of other information about Final Fantasy XV during an event on March 30 titled “Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV” to be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. This event will begin at 7:00 p.m. PT and be hosted by Kinda Funny’s Tim Gettys and Greg Miller. If you’re in the area, you can reserve a free ticket. This event will also be used to announce the official name of the playable tech demo for Final Fantasy XV, as well as other details.

Final Fantasy 15 producer Hajime Tabata has revealed that the game’s development team is targeting 30FPS and a complete playtime of 50 hours.
Speaking during a NicoNico livestream, reported via Siliconera, Tabata said the main story of Final Fantasy 15 will take around 50 hours, up from a previous estimate of 40 hours. This is a result of the game having “more volume” than originally expected.
The team is making optimal balance tweaks to the game at present and hasn’t quite completed that process. While 30FPS is the target, there are moments when the game “breaks 30”. Optimisation and additional changes will continue on an on-going basis until the game goes gold.
If the development team can’t support a fixed framerate of 30, they’ll “do something different.” We’ll learn the game’s resolution during a special Final Fantasy 15 event taking place in Los Angeles next week.

Data in sine e importanta.

Final Fantasy 15 release date, demo, anime, movie, collector’s editions detailed | VG247

Platinum Demo este live @ PS4 si XB1

Today’s Final Fantasy 15 event was spoiled when a lot of the pertinent information leaked ahead of embargo. As the leaks suggested, the long-awaited RPG will release on September 30.
Again, as we gathered from the leaks, a free, standalone 4.5GB spin-off game will be available today on PS4 and Xbox One. This is the young Noctis thing, and it includes battle gameplay and even a drivable car. It’s called Platinum Demo, but is all new-content rather than a chunk of Final Fantasy 15. It has been designed to appeal to everyone – not just existing fans – but will unlock free DLC for Final Fantasy 15.

The second, lengthier trailer is in Japanese, with subtitles:

More videos showed chocobo gameplay, which includes drifting; open world driving; battles against a variety of monsters including a Behemoth, with plenty of magic and special skills; a montage of locations; and Platinum Demo gameplay. Here’s the demo in action:

Despite the leaks, there were a few surprises. We also got a preview of a new anime series, Brotherhood: Final Fantasy, filling in the backstory of the four main characters. It will be released for free online; Episode 1 is available now, and all five episodes will be released before launch

In addition to this free series, Square Enix announced a new feature-length CGI movie called Kingsglaive. It has been in the works in secret for three years, and will release for download and streaming, worldwide, before Final Fantasy 15 launches. It features Luna and Regis in a story that takes place during the events of Final Fantasy 15.

Luna Freya is voiced by Game of Thrones star Lena Headey. Fellow Game of Thrones star Sean Bean plays Regis, so I guess he dies. You know who else is in it? Aaron Paul, best known for Breaking Bad but also one of the leads in the Need for Speed movie.

Cruising on the hype, Square Enix announced a Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy 15 which includes a steelbook case, a copy of King’s Glaive on disc, and extra DLC. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Collector’s Edition includes that as well as a Noctis statue, a soundtrack, a special box, a hard cover art book and more DLC. You can pre-order those from the Square Enix store from 9:00pm PST today. The latter edition is exclusive to Square Enix’s web front and limited to 30,000 copies.

Also, regarding airships: the car flies.

Box art standard and deluxe :

    Other stuff

The presentation opened with an appearance by original series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, who said the series had wandered from its original path of tackling new challenges – and that he’s excited to see if Final Fantasy 15 brings it back on track.

Next we saw a new piece of art called Big Bang, by long time series concept artist Yo****aka Amano, which had been animated in 3D. Hopefully we’ll have that video shortly, too.

Amano himself attended the event, and stood to accept the adulation of the crowd, as did Final Fantasy 15 composer Yoko Shimomura. Long-term series composer Nobuo Uematsu could not attend, but sent a video message.

Square Enix also announced it has partnered with Audi to produce one production model of the R8 in the game. It is not for sale.

Final Fantasy 15 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One. It has been in the works for ten years, having been announced in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus 13. In the intervening years it has migrated platforms, broken out of the Fabula Nova Cystallis sequence to do its own thing, and been handed over to Final Fantasy Type-0 director Hajime Tabata so that a (possibly disgruntled) Tatsuya Nomura could focus on Kingdom Hearts 3.
