Announcement trailer throws light on mysterious project.

When From Software revealed Project Dark at TGS this week, many assumed it would be either a direct follow-up or pseudo-sequel to Demon’s Souls.
Unfortunately, the company didn’t confirm whether or not the game was indeed Demon’s Souls 2, or if it has any relation to the rock-hard RPG. However, the game’s announcement trailer gives us some clues.
Watch it below.
As you can see, the game looks every bit like what a Demon’s Souls sequel should. Similar warriors in armour, same perspective, identical combat system and even a big bad dragon.
Project Dark also seems to take place in a similar setting to its predecessor.
We have a sneaky suspicion that Project Dark might be a “working title” right now.
Project Dark is also releasing for Xbox 360, according to the game’s official website, and its chances of a European release looks bright too.
The UK wing of Namco Bandai told Eurogamer to “wait and see” when asked about a potential publishing deal for Project Dark

There's a preview on the game in this week's Famitsu. The official title is now Dark Souls. Some info from the preview:

- This is the official title of what was previously Project Dark.

- This time they want to increase the amount of field exploration in the game.
- All fields are seamless, so whatever you can see, you can reach and explore. If you see a fortress or castle walls in the distance, you can eventually get there.
- There will be no map display in the game, just a position display marker.

- They aim to make the game just as challenging than Demon's Souls, but also just as rewarding when you succeed. The sense of achievement is important.

- The world setting is based on medieval dark fantasy, and will contain themes like "high fantasy of kings and knights", "death and the depths of the earth", and "the flames of chaos".

- The character creation process will not be class based.
- The play style of the player character will have much more freedom this time.
- There will be many more spells and items, and the animation and uniqueness of weapons will also be increased.

- The online elements are very similar to Demon's Souls. There is cooperative and PvP.
- You can still leave messages, and see players who died at various places.
- There will be no Soul Tendency this time because they don't want to have to use dedicated servers to handle that **** again.
- Instead this time there will be more features allowing players to engage in "mutual role playing" which they say are still under wraps.

Asta il iau si eu la lansare cu siguranta... , ma oftic ca nu am jucat si Demon's Souls de la bun inceput , sunt jocuri exact pe gustul meu. Ty Tekken for information ;)

ahuhu! abea astept :x. Speram sa fie MACAR la fel de provocator (prefer sa ii zic asa decat "greu"). Sa vedem ce inseamna pt ei mai provocator.:naughty:

Noi astia care am jucat DS stim la ce sa ne asteptam :evil:. La restu... le urez succes lol. Tin minte si la DS ca la inceput f multi useri ziceau ca e "ridicol de greu" sau "extrem de dificil" da dupa vreo 10-15 ore de gameplay au ajuns la concluzia ca asa e cel mai bine lol.

De asemenea, rog un moderator sa schimbve numele thread-ului in Dark Souls . Multumesc anticipat!

Asta in conditiile in care eu inca mai joc Demon's Souls si imi e greu sa inchid consola. Daca e cum cred eu si cum arata in trailerul ala....pai apoi am ce juca un an doi.

din poza aia vad ca au pastrat flute armor.
oricum demon souls e ceva special, nu am mai intalnit un joc in care sa mor de atatea ori si in loc sa ma enervez, imi spuneam ca trebuie doar sa fiu mai atent.

sper sa fie macar la fel de bun ca demon souls, poate doar sa bage un platinum cevaaaa mai usor (zic asta pt ca nu am reusit sa fac platinum la DS din cauza pietrelor ce trebuiau adunate).
