In 2012 candva ar trebui sa il avem si noi, daca nu intervin bine cunoscutele delay'uri...

VG247 Blog Archive FFXIII-2 announced in Tokyo, to hit EU and US “next winter”
Square Enix Europe has just announced Final Fantasy XIII-2 will arrive “next winter” in the region following its announce this morning at the publisher’s Japanese event.

SCEA has confirmed the same time-frame for an American release on the US PS Blog.
The game will also feature a ” a battle system which has evolved further since XIII” as well as a new story following on from FFXIII.
Motomu Toriyama, director of FFXIII, will direct the game again. Yoshinori Kitase will most likely take on the producer role once again.
A new character was also shown alongside Lightning, as was a new logo, as seen above.
It’ll be out in 2011 in Japan.
Last week, it was discovered that “finalfantasyxiii-2game.com” was registered by Square Enix.
But talk of a sequel began back in March 2010, when after FFXIII launched, Kitase and Toriyama admitted they’d be up for developing a sequel.
The trailer for FFXIII-2 will launch on Thursday on the game’s official website here. We did post it below (thanks, DoubleM), but we’ve removed it at Square’s request.
Get full details on everything else shown at the conference here

FFXIII-2: Multiple endings confirmed, inspired by RDR, HD towns “too boring” | VG247

    ---------- Post added 10-06-2011 at 02:47 AM ----------

    FFXIII-2 to sport branching maps, mini-games. | VG247
Continuing the flood of Final Fantasy XIII-2 factoids floating out of hands-on previews at E3, Square Enix has apparently decided to shake up the original FFXIII’s formula somewhat.

Siliconera got some time with the game and reports it has shaken off the “run down a corridor” feel of FFXIII.
Maps now wind through the environment and proceed to the next story point along multiple paths.
Additionally, the dash-and-bash formula is intermittently interrupted by a mini-game called Beyond the Void. It sounds a little like a sliding-tile puzzle, where the tiles disappear once used.
FFXIII carried on FFXII’s tradition of avoidable random encounters, adding the spice of ambushes if you took the enemy by surprise. FFXIII-2 will do something similar, with the addition of a Mog Clock timer. Catch your foe while the clock’s in the green and you’ll have the advantage – in the red? Not so much.
In combat, a special, monster-based ability called feral link appears when a gauge fills. You’re supposed to crack it out at every possible chance rather than wait around for special occasions. The monsters you bring into battle change with your paradigm, too – magic-using flans in ravager, for example.
The game will also feature multiple endings in a series first.
FFXIII-2 is due on Western PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s in early 2012.

I`m just a sucker for FF games.

Uite ca au mai fost postate niste stiri despre joc FFXIII-2 – Noel is the star, hybrid soundtrack, more | VG247
Culling from Dengeki, Andriasang reports new character Noel will be the primary protagonist of FFXIII-2.
Director Motomu Toriyama said Noel will be the game’s frontline fighter, with companion [FFXIII-ending-spoiler-name-redacted] taking a backseat support role.
Noel is said to a be a cool character, the equivalent of FFXIII’s Lightning. He’s a monster hunter from Gran Pulse.
FFXIII composer Masashi Hamauzu has returned for the sequel, and aims to keep the feel of the first title, while new composers will be brought in to add new material.
Following on from comments that NPCs in towns will have AI, Toriyma revealed townsfolk will shelter from weather. Weather will also have an effect on battle.
The demo from E3 is said to have been spliced together from two separate chapters, with story segments ruthlessly cut. The same section in the full game will tell the story of how the two protagonists meet.
As well as a third monster party member, players will sometimes temporarily recruit extra guest characters.
FFXIII-2 is expected on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in December, and everywhere else in early 2012.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 to feature time travel system | VG247
Dengeki PlayStation has said in its latest issue that a time travel system is included in Final Fantasy XIII-2, calling it central to the game’s story.
It comes as one of the main characters within the game, Noel, was revealed to be from the future as the last human in existence last week.
The magazine seems to suggest you’ll be able to travel through time freely with the system through the Historiacross system. Through it, you can use a gate in each area of the game once activated. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to select either the location or era to go to.
Dengeki also spilled proper details on what Lightning’s story is all about. She’s now a knight that protects the shrine of the goddess Etro in Valhalla, basically becoming someone near like a deity.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 releases next year in the west, with a Japanese release in December, for PS3 and 360.
