Sniper Elite 3 Announced - IGN

"505 Games has announced that Sniper Elite 3 is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and next generation platforms in 2014.
The company notes that “following the worldwide success of Sniper Elite and Sniper Elite V2 released on PC, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, 505 Games believe in the extremely high potential of this brand." 505 says that Sniper Elite V2 gained a great worldwide
success around 1.1 million copies sold since the April 2012 launch to the end of December.
Exact details on Sniper Elite 3 have yet to be announced, though more info should follow in the weeks to come."

Sniper Elite 3: Rebellion discusses North Africa setting, sandbox approach

Sniper Elite 3 developer Rebellion has discussed the game’s North Africa setting with VG247, and has explained why it will allow for a free-form sandbox approach to situations, much like its predecessors. This time however, the locales will be even bigger thanks to the game’s next-gen clout.

Speaking with us as part of an interview you can read here soon, I asked Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley if the market had started to gravitate back towards the WWII setting – given the rising popularity of Company of Heroes 2, Red Orchestra 2 and its ilk – and if modern and near-future settings were starting to stagnate.

“These trends are cyclical,” he replied. “A few years back it seemed the industry was obsessed with WW2 shooters. Maybe it’ll swing that way again. We don’t concern ourselves with trying to follow a trend: we are just striving to make the best WW2 sniper experience possible – for ourselves, and for those people out there who love the genre as much as us.

“Sniper Elite 3 takes place among the varied exotic locales of the North African theatre of WW2 which has not been extensively explored in games but was actually historically pivotal to the whole conflict.”

The move away from the collapsed streets of war-torn Berlin will certainly give the studio more scope to create wider terrain. It should be perfect for Rebellion’s desire to give players multiple ways to pull off those stylish, long-range kills.

Kingsley said of Sniper Elite 3′s sandbox focus, “We want you to feel you’re dealing with scenarios that are believable and that you can genuinely make meaningful choices on how to tackle them. If you are sniping at the enemy from a concealed position, that should play out in a plausible fashion: the enemy won’t spot you immediately and even when they do figure out which direction they are being shot at from, they will still have to figure out how to flush you out.

“We don’t want sniping encounters to degenerate into predictable duck-shoots where all the AI are shooting directly at you while popping in and out of cover. Encounters with the enemy will be convincing and tense, and we will give you both the space and the tools to tackle them with whatever balance of stealth and gunplay suits you best.”

“It was clearly a bit more complicated to extract the maximum power from the Xbox One when you’re trying to [achieve 1080p], he began, and added, “I think eSRAM is easy to use. The only problem is … Part of the problem is that it’s just a little bit too small to output 1080p within that size.
“It’s such a small size within there that we can’t do everything in 1080p with that little buffer of super-fast RAM,” Bolcato explained. It means you have to do it in chunks or using tricks.”
He continued, “The Xbox One is a bit more multimedia, a bit more hub-centric so its a bit more complex. There’s stuff you can and can’t do because it’s a sort of multimedia hub. PS4 doesn’t have that. PS4 is just a games machine. It’s a bit more powerful.”
Bolcato offered that things have switched sides from the PS3 and Xbox 360 days, where Sony’s console was the harder machine to code for.
“Now it seems like everything has reversed,” he explained, “but it doesn’t mean it’s far less powerful – it’s just a pain in the ass to start with. We are on fine ground now but the first few months were hell.”
However, the whole ‘Xbox One 1080p’ issue appears to be on Microsoft’s radar. Bolcato concluded, “[Microsoft] are releasing a new SDK that’s much faster and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One. We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, it’s got better and they are quite comparable machines.”

Eu spun ca e un mare bull****. La grafica aia nu are cum sa mearga prost in full HD. Sa fim seriosi. Iluminarea este inexistenta, totul are fff putine poligoane si texturile sunt oribile. Singurul lucru (lasand laoparte mecanica de joc) care arata destul de ok, este bullet cam-ul.

Din ce vad mai sus, v2-ul a fost mai frumos dpdv grafic.

Intr-adevar, nu totul se rezuma la grafica, dar fratilor, deja suntem la next gen. Nu se poate sa folosim grafica de PS2/inceputul PS3 cand deja exista jocuri mult mai complexe care arata mult mai bine si merg pe current gen (GTA V, The Last of US samd).
