Tinand cont ca au amanat (Rockstar) jocul Red Dead Redemption 2 pentru 2018, am o vaga banuiala (este doar banuiala, nu te baza pe parerea mea...) ca GTA 6 va fi anuntat anul viitor prin vara (probabil E3) cu lansare in Octombrie 2019.

Cu Rockstar nimic nu este simplu, insa acum se concentreaza RDR 2. N-ai sa vezi sa vina prea curand. RDR 2 apare in 2018 si daca ar fi sa fac o predictie, mai devreme de 2020 nu cred ca vedem GTA 6!

O imagine cu "Man UTD" e cel mai dificil de pus. Ca sa pui la avatar orice alta imagine e floare la ureche, dar asta cu "Man UTD" e greu de tot.

E foarte usor sa radem de IGN, sau de alte site-uri de gAmE JoUrNaLiSm, pentru ca posteaza articole proaste, intr-o incercare penibila de a atrage cat mai multi oameni ce respira pe gura, dar in ultima vreme am inceput sa admir din ce in ce mai mult astfel de site-uri. Pentru ca Youtube, care ar trebui sa fie o alternativa la vocile corporatiste, reprezinta o dezamagire mai mare. Este deosebit de trist sa vezi ca o platforma care ar trebui sa includa toate tipurile de pasionati de jocuri video, oameni de rand, liberi, neinfluentati de banii firmelor mai mari, are, in 90% din cazuri, pitecantropi care incep fiecare clip cu "Yo, waddup peeps, it's yo boy here...", il termina cerand bani, intr-un fel sau altul si intre toate astea vorbesc despre un shooter sau despre minecraft. Dar dezamagirea adevarata vine din faptul ca nici ceilalti 10% din youtuberi nu sunt mai "breji".

Intr-o incercare nereusita de a se distanta de prostia celorlalti, scot "analize" si "critici" de 40-60 de minute, promitand o obiectivitate care lipseste din plin pe site-uri ca IGN et al. Doar ca duc aceasta "obiectivitate" la extrem, axandu-se mult prea mult pe aspectele negative ale unui joc sau subiect. Luna trecuta am rejucat Wind Waker, pe Wii U. Un joc bun, dar cu destule aspecte nereusite, sau care nu si-au atins potentialul, mai ales pentru un joc Zelda. Si un joc despre care chiar poti sa discuti, tocmai datorita diferentei de calitate dintre toate partile sale. Cautand astfel de discutii pe youtube, am gasit doua clipuri de 40-50 de minute fiecare, "critiques" cum le numeau autorii. Primul clip a inceput cu "First of all, guys, I've got to say this was my first Zelda game, so it means a lot to me. To this day, it's one of my favorite games ever made, but don't worry - i'm gonna try to be objective when talking about it." Si dup-aia a criticat jocul incontinuu, timp de 40 de minute. Pur si simplu nu a spus niciun lucru pozitiv, insistand pe cele mai puerile critici. La final, "But yeah guys, the Wind Waker is still a great game...". Al doilea clip nu a avut acelasi inceput, dar in rest a fost identic - nu-mi place asta, au gresit asta, au facut asta, dar puteau sa faca asa... fara sa spuna nimic pozitiv, cand exista atat de multe aspecte extraordinare legate de jocul asta.

Atatea cuvinte urate si atata negativitate, doar din titluri. De ce? Poti sa vorbesti despre orice aspect al jocurilor video, de ce trebuie sa te axezi atat de mult pe partile negative? Da, sunt FOARTE multe aspecte de rahat in ceea ce priveste jocurile video, dar cu ce ajuti daca vorbesti doar de asta?

...Ideea e ca Get Even este 50 ron la emag, iar Critique Quest a postat ieri un clip in care discuta despre jocul asta intr-un mod deosebit de placut. Pe mine m-a convins sa-l cumpar.

De asemena, eurogamer a avut saptamana asta un articol foate bun despre Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
Si IGN are o serie noua de interviuri cu diversi developeri. E buna.

Nintendo’s next console will “utilise” the unique elements of the Switch
The company will "extend" the Switch's life cycle for now

Nintendo’s next game system will bring forward the unique elements and learning experiences of the Switch.

This is a woolly answer, for sure, yet Nintendo isn’t one to showboat. In its 80th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, an investor suggested that Nintendo should surpass the “limits” of a TV or an external monitor for their next console. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa and director and senior executive officer Ko Shiota replied by praising the Switch, and saying that whatever is next for Nintendo, it would springboard from the successes of this console.

“Our current generation game system, Nintendo Switch, has entered its fourth year since launch, but its momentum is increasing,” stated Furukawa. “We believe there are two factors behind this. First is the existence of two hardware configurations with different characteristics, in Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. The second factor is that Nintendo’s development resources are concentrated on developing content for a single platform, Nintendo Switch. We want to extend the life cycle of Nintendo Switch while maximising such advantages.”

In spite of production and shipping problems from the pandemic, more than 21 million Switches were shipped in March 2020. Moreover, the Switch is the company’s seventh best-selling console in its history, with sales increasing by 60 per cent year-on-year. The writing (or numbers) is on the wall, but Shiota cited the feeling of playing the Switch as one of its core motivators for continued success. “In addition to the performance aspects (higher technical specifications), Nintendo’s dedicated video game platforms are developed with a focus on providing a comfortable environment for consumers to play fun software,” he began.

“From the perspective of playing with the image displayed on a TV, we believe that because consumers can play Nintendo Switch on a TV or the game console screen itself, it has greatly increased the opportunities for gameplay in various scenes in their lives, compared to previous consoles,” he explained. “Through Nintendo Switch, we’ve made many discoveries about where a dedicated video game platform can fit into a consumer’s daily life. We see scenes on social media of children and their families sitting around a game console to play, which gives us a renewed sense of the value of our dedicated video game platform. We will utilise these experiences in carefully considering the form our future game consoles will take.”
