    Internetul si tehnologia schimba limba engleza

    Pe sistemul "limba noastra-i o comoara" iata ca nu doar in limba romana apar bizarerii si/sau cuvinte folosite din ce in ce mai des pe internet. De data aceasta este afectata limba engleza (britanica), iar cei care semnaleaza noile cuvinte sunt chiar cei de la Oxford Dictionary (cel mai "trusted" dictionar de limba engleza - am putea sa-l comparam cu DEX-ul la noi). Multi ar spune ca e normal pentru ca o limba trebuie sa evolueze, insa eu voi fi un pic contra si voi spune ca totusi nu chiar orice trebuie acceptat.

    De exemplu mi se pare normal sa se accepte un cuvant precum "phablet" (la urma urmei vedem atatea phablet-uri in ultima vreme), sau "emoji" (nici nu credeam ca nu exista). Inteleg sa se adauge cuvinte precum "bitcoin" (moneda folosita online) sau "grats" (felicitari)... insa abrevierile de gen "FOMO" (fear of missing out), "tl;dr" (too long didn't read), "BYOD" (bring your own device), "MIL" si "FIL" (mother in law si father in law), "LDR" ( long-distance relationship) sau "MOOC" (massive open online course) mi se par ca strica pur si simplu limba. Nu de alta, dar in felul acesta vom ajunge sa vorbim in stenograme.

    Mai jos aveti lista cu ultimele nebunii adaugate in dictionar. Le puteti gasi pe MOOC: definition of MOOC in Oxford dictionary (British & World English). Intre timp ma duc sa-mi fac un "selfie". BRB!
