Dupa ce Yakuza s-a lansat pentru prima oara in 2012 pentru Japonia, foarte multi gameri (printre care si eu) si-au dorit ca jocul sa primeasca si o versiune a jocului in limba engleza. Se pare vorba cu "niciodata nu e prea tarziu" este adevarata, SEGA anuntand ca Yakuza 5 se va lansa in Europa si America de Nord anul viitor. Toshihiro Nagoshi a spus sa jocul s-a vandut in peste 1 milion de exemplare in Japonia si se asteapta sa fie primit bine si de gamerii din vest.
