Nu stiu daca ati urmarit Tokyo Game Show, insa daca ati facut-o si v-ati stressat cu faptul ca totul este in japoneza, va reamintesc ca la un moment dat presedintele Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (wow, ce titlu lung) Shuhei Yoshida a urcat pe scena si a vorbit despre PlayStation App, care se va lansa odata cu noua consola PS4 in 2013. In opinia mea cu aceasta aplicatie Sony incearca sa rivalizeze cu Surface-ul celor de la Microsoft.
Anyway, pe blogul Sony a aparut un mic interviu cu Shuhei Yoshida prin care acesta dezvaluie noi detalii despre PlayStation App. Astfel aflam ca prin aplicatia ce va fi disponibila pe iOS si Android in mod gratuit, vom putea sa comunicam cu prietenii, sa comparam trofee, sa vedem activitatea fiecaruia (inclusiv stream-uri video live sau inregistrate), sa accesam ultimele noutati, sa achizitionam jocurile direct de pe smartphone sau tableta... and so on. Din pacate nu avem detalii despre folosirea aplicatiei ca si gamepad/controller. Mai jos aveti "franturile" importante din interviu:
It’s an application that anyone can download for free on iOS and Android devices... There are a variety of things you can do with it. You can connect to your PlayStation profile, and send messages – even voice messages – to friends between your smartphone and PS4.
A friend on PS4 can also send out an invitation for a multiplayer game, which you can then check on the App, and you can also purchase PS4 games from PlayStation Store. Your game will immediately start downloading while you’re away.
There are many big publishers creating their own apps for their games, like Watch_Dogs or Battlefield, and that’s great... But smaller developers can use PlayStation App to connect to PS4 and load an application, like drawing software for example, so that you don’t have to download and install a specific app on your smartphone. It’s open to all PS4 developers to use.
