It's time for a new chapter in the glorious Gears of War franchise, and Microsoft just announced it at its press conference from E3 2018.
The game is coming for Xbox One and Windows 10, and it’ll release in 2019.
Following the reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference, the house of Xbox and The Coalition released the first details and assets of the newly-announced Gears 5.
We also get an official description talking briefly against the story that sees Kait take on her journey to discover the origin of the Locust.
The world is crumbling. Humanity’s reliance on technology has become their downfall and enemies are uniting to wipe out all survivors. As Kait you must journey across the biggest, most beautiful Gears world to uncover the origins of the Locust, and fight with your squad to protect what’s left.
We also get a set a set of bullet points describing what we can expect, including co-op both local and online, cross-play, and 4K resolution running at 60 FPS.
Never Fight Alone. Play solo or with a friend in local split-screen co-op, or online co-op. Battle alongside your friends anywhere with cross-play between Xbox One and PC.
Explore Sera. Skim across glaciers, sail over deserts and descend into sunken ruins to discover the largest and most diverse Gears world ever created.
