MLG Dallas 2010 Hall of Champions

The 2010 National Championships at MLG Dallas saw legends return to form and triumph once again, and new blood appear and make its presence known. Final Boss capped an incredible comeback Season by taking home the National Championship and their third Halo 3 title in a row. Ogre2 solidified his reputation as one of the most extraordinary Halo players in history. The StarCraft 2 Event proved that, in a bracket full of some of the best talent the world has to offer, anyone can rise to the top; LiquidJinro took out some very heavily favored international stars to win the title. In Smash action, new blood continued its domination from D.C., as a player from the Open bracket stormed through the tournament, dropping only one single game on his way to the National Championship title. The Tekken 6 Event was won by the Vietnamese-American player Anakin, who put a stop to the Korean players dominance. And last but not least, the Modern Warfare 2 National Championship was an example of the best MLG has to offer: Influence, a team who rose to prominence playing online, arrived at their first live Event and went all the way to the top, unfazed by the pressure of live competition.

Over $400,000 in prize money was awarded this weekend, as MLG capped off the incredible 2010 Season in style. And what a Season its been. StarCraft 2 made its MLG debut to stunning success, Halo 3 received a sendoff worthy of its time on the Pro Circuit, and Halo: Reach arrived with a bang and made the entire community incredibly excited for next Season. What will 2011 bring? Time will tell, but with competitors like these, how could it be anything but spectacular?
