Nu are legatura cu Vodafone-ul, am primit saptamana trecuta un Lumia 625 (inca unul) de la job, e pe Vodafone si I-am putut face update-ul fara probleme. Trebuie sa-si instaleze Preview for developers, sa se inregistreze (cand deschide app-ul il trimite automat la register) sa confirme inregistrarea pe mail, sa intre din nou in app, sa se logheze cu id-ul si parola si ... gata. fara restart fara nimic cand cauta sa faca update ii arata ca are un nou update (de fapt sunt 3 consecutive din care unul de vreo 4-500 mb deci..wifi only).
si sfat de user de Xbox, regiune si limba in telefon sa fie setate pe US :D


Daca ai nevoie de alte sfaturi suna-ma, sunt mult mai clar pe voce :))

Let’s break it down, to fully explain what you can expect from the Lumia Denim Update.

Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1

Cortana – The most personal digital assistant on the market will now be available in the UK and China as a Beta. India, Canada and Australia will have access to Cortana as a public Alpha. For US residents, Cortana now includes an improved natural language, car kit integration via Bluetooth for contacts, snooze reminders and calendar improvements.
Live folders – If you prefer to keep your apps or games organised, you can now put them into folders. Simply press, hold and drag an app over another to create a new folder on the Start screen. Each folder can be renamed by tapping on the text field above the open folder.
Apps Corner – Create a customised Start screen, where only specific apps or games are accessible. This could be particularly useful in the workplace if you’re issuing Windows Phones to employees.
SMS merge and forwarding – Select individual text messages to either delete them out of a messaging thread, or to copy and past them into a new message in order to forward them.
Snooze Times – It’s now possible to customise the snooze time within the Alarm app.
Consumer VPN – Maintain privacy and security when using data while connected to public Wi-Fi hotspots or even with your home Wi-Fi.
Mobile Web Site improvements in IE – Connect and browse even faster with improved downloading speeds on mobile websites.
Store Live Tile (US only) – The Store Live Tile displays featured apps and games that are the most popular in the Store, or most relevant for you.
Unique Lumia experiences

The Lumia Denim Update provides features that are exclusive to Lumia. We always strive to bring new features to everyone, but some of which are hardware dependent and are only announced for the Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 830, such as the Lumia Camera.

Lumia Camera – Replacing Nokia Camera, Lumia Camera is faster and more intuitive than before to make the best camera experience, even better.

Glance Screen – Compatible Lumia devices can now show more at a glance with Bing Weather, or Bing Health & Fitness data, in addition to time and date, notifications and application data.
Lumia Denim Update will ship with Lumia 830, Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735. For all other Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones, the update will start rolling out during Q4 2014, following partner testing and approvals.

Microsoft brings easier sharing, faster syncing and larger file support to OneDrive

Microsoft is rolling out a host of changes to OneDrive that bring the cloud sharing service's features on par with other services. The main highlights include users now being able to upload files up to 10 GB using the Windows and Mac clients (as well as the OneDrive Windows Phone app), not to mention the sharing of file links from within Windows Explorer.

Larger file support is said to be in the works for business users as well, with Microsoft set to roll out the feature to enterprise customers soon. Another new feature addition in OneDrive is the ability to easily share links from within Windows Explorer, negating the need to go to OneDrive's web client. Users on Windows 7 and Windows 8 will be able to see a context menu link called "Share a OneDrive link", which allows you to create a link that you can share in your client of choice. The feature will be available soon for Windows 8.1 and Mac users.

The OneDrive website is also seeing new feature additions, with Microsoft noting that you can now upload entire folders in one go. Drag a folder into the OneDrive window to sync the contents of the folder to your account. If you've got a lot of files to sync, Microsoft has mentioned that it is in the process of increasing syncing speed threefold by introducing a parallel sync feature that is rolling out over the coming weeks.
