PS4 Exclusive Bloodborne’s New Screenshots and Art Show New Character, Gruesome Weapon, Area and More | DualShockers
PS4 Exclusive Bloodborne Could Have Randomly Generated or Changing Dungeons to Increase Longevity | DualShockers
- As promised a while ago, Sony Computer Entertainment released a large batch of screenshots and artwork of the upcoming PS4 exclusive Bloodborne.
- We get to catch a glimpse on a new character: his name is “Old Hunter Deyura.” He’s dressed in a ragged coat and he’s armed with a… giant multi-barrel gun. Yep, I kid you not. Just look at the bottom of the post.
- A new kind of enemy is also shown, named “Hemwick’s Witches.” They inhabit the already introduced Hemwick Cemetery area of the game, and they definitely look horrifying.
- The screenshots then introduce a new weapon, the Swordstick. Its name is the same as the traditional Japanese sword hidden in a cane, but it takes a more gruesome flair in Bloodborne, basically turning into a cane that becomes similar to a sword-whip.
- Finally, there’s a new stages, the “Deserted Castle Cainhurst,” with its lonely hallways and halls. The last picture is the first glimpse on the beautifully decorated “Underground Ruins,” which is touted as another new element of the game.
Today Sony Computer Entertainment revealed a nice batch of screenshots and art of the upcoming PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, but there actually was another interesting element hidden in the description of one of the pictures (which you can see above), depicting the “Underground Ruins” feature.
Sony Computer Entertainment Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa mentioned that this is the debut of a new element of the game, and encouraged to wait for more information in the future, but the description definitely sounds like a sort of randomly or procedurally generated dungeon, or they could be somehow changing akin to what we saw in Demon’s Souls. The underground of Yharnam, vast ruins built over several levels. They’re terribly old, perhaps made by people according to their purpose. They appear to be a grave, or maybe just a place where something rests.
And, these ruins, it is said they change appearance depending on the person that sees them.
