Square Enix announced today with a press release that its successful MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn reached four million registered accounts. In order to celebrate this milestone, the publisher is enacting a limited free login campaign between February 27, 2015 at 12:00 a.m. PST to Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 a.m. PDT.
Eligible to take advantage of the campaign are all those who previously purchased the game, and have a currently inactive accounts.
If you left Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and want to check out all the new content that was released in the past few months, now it’s your chance.
If you want to be ready to mingle into the merry halls of the Manderville Gold Saucer when the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn servers will go live at 2 AM PST, you better get that bandwidth ready, because the patch is now ready for download on PS4, PS3 and PC
It’s also rather weighty. You’ll have to download 1360.10 megabytes on PC and 1140.19 on PS4.
The new patch includes a lot of new content, mostly focused on the Manderville Gold Saucer, including Triple Triad and an exceptionally deep Chocobo Racing feature that will let you breed and customize your chocobo. It’ll also let players get equipped earlier in sight of the Heavensward expansion, by adding the option to receive Carbontwine from the Crystal Tower weekly quest, in order to upgrade Ironworks armor.
