Acum cateva zile nu mai stiam ce se va intampla cu HoloLens, dupa ce am aflat de tragicul accident in care a disparut Mike Ey, project designer la HoloLens. Life sucks, i know (R.I.P. Mike Ey), si m-am gandit ca poate se va ajunge chiar la abandonarea proiectului de Augmented Reality (HoloLens nefiind o solutie de VR precum Project Morpheus). Insa, in cadrul unei prezentari la GDC 2015, Phil Spencer a spus ca Xbox va primi suport pentru HoloLens, iar developerii vor primi in curand API-urile pentru a incepe lucrul.
Il citez pe Phil Spencer: "Gaming and entertainment is going to be critical for HoloLens. Microsoft considers HoloLens as a massive platform for games that will be built across Xbox One and Windows 10. We see this as a full Windows 10 device with holographic capability".
Cine stie, poate vom ajunge in sfarsit sa jucam un Halo in care tot HUD-ul de pe TV se va muta pe HoloLens si vom putea privi jocul exact asa cum o face Master Chief din a sa casca... :)
