Avatar 2 will reportedly hit cinemas worldwide during Christmas 2017. While the studio has not officially announced the release date, 20th Century Fox CEO Jim Gianopulos believes that a Christmas release is just the perfect window that they're looking at for Avatar 2, reports Master Herald.

The website report further adds that the studio may finalise 25 December 2017 as the release date for the film. "...It is likely that the next two sequels, Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 will also get the same exact dates on 2018 and 2019," the report claims.

Meanwhile, scripts for all the three sequels are reportedly complete and pre-production is on in full swing. Cameron has shared that the production team and specialists are now designing creatures, settings, and characters that are part of all three films.
