Final Fantasy 15 producer Hajime Tabata has revealed that the game’s development team is targeting 30FPS and a complete playtime of 50 hours.
Speaking during a
NicoNico livestream, reported
via Siliconera, Tabata said the main story of
Final Fantasy 15 will take around 50 hours, up from a previous estimate of 40 hours. This is a result of the game having “more volume” than originally expected.
The team is making optimal balance tweaks to the game at present and hasn’t quite completed that process. While 30FPS is the target, there are moments when the game “breaks 30”. Optimisation and additional changes will continue on an on-going basis until the game goes gold.
If the development team can’t support a fixed framerate of 30, they’ll “do something different.” We’ll learn the game’s resolution during a special
Final Fantasy 15 event taking place in Los Angeles next week.
