Vivendi reuseste sa preia "cu forta" studioul Gameloft

"Preluare cu forta" este un pic extrem spus, dar in aceasta dimineata Vivendi a reusit sa acapareze 61,71% din actiunile studioului Gameloft, devenind actionar majoritar cu puteri depline. Acesta mai incercase in luna Februarie a acestui an sa preia majoritatea oferind 8$/actiune actionarilor companiei. Co-fondatorul Gameloft Michel Guillemot incercase in trecut sa pastreze studioul independent, din pacate in aceasta dimineata vazandu-se in situatia de a transmite angajatilor urmatorul mesaj:

"We are convinced that Gameloft, with Vivendi’s backing, can be more ambitious in its growth plans. In a rapidly-evolving market, your company, which needs industrial and financial backing to develop, will be able to count on our full support and commitment.

Our Group has demonstrated its expertise in supporting and developing talent. You will now take part in a great collective adventure as Vivendi pursues its ambitious redeployment in content and media. In carrying out this plan, we will rely above all on your talents and creative freedom."

Cine este Vivendi? Fostul propietar al Activision-Blizzard, World of Warcraft si Call of Duty va spune ceva? Sau Daily Motion? Este un gigant multimedia pus pe achizitii in acest moment. In plus sta permanent cu ochii pe Ubisoft, din ale carui actiuni are deja o cincime, si care doreste sa devina si acolo actionar majoritar.
