On a Chinese resale site, a listing recently appeared for a a new model of the system’s LCD panel. Sharp would apparently behind the updated screen.
The current Nintendo Switch 2 features a panel from Innolux. This new screen has a different circuit, connector, and cables. Everything here points to an updated redesign as opposed to a small revision.
The new screen has the model number is LS079T1SX10P. Nintendo Patents Watch deduced the following details from that:
- LS = Sharp LTPS
- 079 = 7.9”
- T = 1080p
Sharp previously said in a financial report that its Hakusan plant “expanded sales for mobile […] applications” from September 2025 onward.
