    Multiplayer for Batman: Arkham City

When the UK publication PSM3 declared that multiplayer in Batman: Arkham City was a certainty we received many mixed opinions. Some wanted co-op side quests, others demanded co-op challenges and it seemed liked no one wanted Versus. So with many varied thoughts; can Rocksteady pull of a strong single player experience as well as a great multiplayer mode? We gathered some suggestions from the users of the forum and put together some ideas.

    One on One
    - Choose from a range of characters from Joker to Nightwing.
    - Each character has unique styles of combat and weaponry. For example, Batman has a limited amount of Batarangs to use where as Victor Zasz has his trusty knives.
    - Levels. Battle within the city or visit a more iconic location in Gotham like Wayne Manor.

    Challenge Room: Time Attack
    - First player to clear a room of thugs wins.
    - Custom game modes.
    - Stealth mode: Plus points for taking out every thug without being seen. Minus points for being spotted.
    - Increase and decrease amount of thugs in room.
    - Increase and decrease difficulty of each thug in room.
    - Times added to leaderboard.
    - Saved replays available through leaderboard.

    Side Stories
    - Choose between Robin, Catwoman or Nightwing
    - Side-quests that break off from the main game story.
-Events that occur in the co-op side quests link with events from the main game story.
    - Co-op special moves.

    Challenge Room: Co-Op
    - Original challenge rooms from the original return but co-operatively.
    - Choose between combat or stealth.
    - Increase and decrease amount of thugs in room.
    - Increase and decrease difficulty of each thug in room.
    - Times added to leaderboard.
    - Saved replays available through leaderboard.
