GI’s
reporting that Sony’s made a mistake on its website by offering PSP go for a dropped price of 129 in the UK, and is to revert the machine to 160.
A
widely-reported UK price drop of 30 for the console was due to a ‘website error’, the company said today.
Reports surfaced following a repricing on the official Sony website, which was advertising the PSPgo at 129. This would have been the second price-drop in three weeks.
It’s not known if Sony will honour any sales at the lower price.
The machine was officially dropped to 159.99, down from 199.99,
on October 25.
Sony cut the cost of PSP Go globally on the same day. The new price for the digital-only handheld is 16,800 ($200/132) in Japan, while the American price was reduced to $199, down from $249.
We’re trying to get comment from the company now.
