all characters seem super powerful which is great. however, the most damaging combos incorporate X-Factor, so you trade an easy kill for the possibility of comeback later (see bellow).

X-Factor is another mechanic new to MvC3, activated by pressing all four attack buttons (A, B, C and E) at once. When active, your point character:
- regains 'red life' at an extremely rapid rate
- is substantially sped up
- both normal and 'chip' damage are greatly increased
- on activation, you can cancel the recovery of a move to continue a combo that would otherwise couldn't be extended or to be safe on block from a counter (this is similar with Focus Attack Dash Cancel from SF4)

You get one activation of X-Factor per match, and the duration and damage boost has 3 levels depending on how many characters your team has:
- level 1 when activated with all 3 characters alive, damage boost 10%, duration 10 seconds
- level 2 when activated with 2 characters alive, damage boost 20%, duration 20 seconds
- level 3 when activated with only 1 character alive, damage boost 30%, duration 30 seconds

enough with the combos, can't wait until the game officially launches and people start abusing each other. also i'm very curious what the future will bring in terms of team synergies. the key in this game is finding the best combinations of characters that insure the best assists to your point man for gaining positional advantage, extending combos or setting up traps that lead to big damage.
