And here it is, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has been officially introduced by Samsung on the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona. First of all, the Galaxy Tab 2 runs on Samsung?s own Exynos 4210 Dual Core 1 GHz processor. And as previously suspected, the Tab 2 comes with a screen size of 10.1 inches ? although interestingly enough, the viewing screen remains a bit smaller than the iPad despite the slightly larger diameter.

This screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800, enough for 720p HD video display, and is comparable to that of the Motorola Xoom. The Galaxy Tab 2 will be available with 64 GB storage ? although the latter is not yet confirmed. And last but not least, the Tab 2 has an 8 megapixel camera. Nice! For less we don?t get out of bed lately.Also notable is the fact that the Tab 2 will run on Android 3.0 2 Honeycomb ? like the Xoom ? without any adjustments by Samsung. This means that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has a ?Google Experience? label, which means that updates are delivered directly by Google. So you will never have to wait until Samsung itself makes a new version available, in other words, when Android is updated, your Tab 2 is updated.
