They're >> DELETING << critique on >> THIS GAME << .. That's insane!

I'm massivly disappointed by Gametrailers, but I'm more disappointed by them for giving it 9.8 points, since it does not deserve that score. It simply doesn't. There are too many flaws:

- Enemy AI and teammate AI are bad,
- it's impossible to attach to Ellie, who is a swearing stereotype,
- the gameplay gets repetetive quick and is without any sign of innovation anyway,
- huge, missed opportunity by ignoring the Zombie theme ... it's not a survival horror game, it's just a stealth game with a low amount of ammo,
- the graphics are a stepback ...

Of course it's just one reviewer who gave it this score and I'm perfectly fine with him having an opinion and stating it, but his opinion being 9.8 and totally ignoring the flaws, which downgrade the game?
That's unacceptable.

Very disappointed indeed.
Played it and to tell you the absolute truth it deserved a lower score like a 7 or 8.

Story wise I give a 5/10 mainly because of Joel's side. The way Ellie's character acts is all wrong for a 14 year old living in an apocalyptic world that occurred 20 years earlier. Who wrote this game?

Gameplay I have to give it a 5/10 as well. Mainly because of the lack of exploration. Whats the point in adding vehicles into a game if you cannot search them. Give me a reason to play while walking from point A to point B. It was just basically walking down a road and talking the whole time until you reach a safe zone. The combat still suffers as well. Weapons are pointless unless you use the bow which to me is the best weapon in the game. Upgrading and creating items needed to have more variety in creating new weapons.

Ai lacked innovation 5/10. It needed to give me a reason what job I needed Ellie for. Whether I made health packs for her to heal me or give her a weapon to back me up. Clickers which are unable to see you and can only hear you manage to know your location once you shoot them and try to hide somewhere else. Also you couldn't use clickers as a weapon to attack other enemies by drawing them with the sound of a broken bottle etc.

Game design not grading. It really felt repetitive. All the levels were the same. All the enemy groups were the same. Where were all the women at? What about dogs? You hear them but don't see them. You would think these enemies would use them as defense. The was no twist to any of the characters in this game that awed me. The game was trying too hard to be a movie and not a game.

Word of advice. The next time someone has an idea for a game write it down. Now if its going too far into a movie idea. Do a movie. If it goes beyond a movie, write a book and leave the game ideas for real developers who want to create a excellent gaming experience and not something staring at scenery for 13 hours.
Have fun in COD dudes...cum poti sa spui ca grafica este un "Stepback" si nu te poti atasa de asa caractere
