Kaz Hirai, CEO-ul Sony Computer Entertaiment a anuntat de curandca inca din prima zi de cand s-au apucat de lucru la PS3, au avut Move in minte, precum si 3D,BluRay. Asta desigur ar insemna ca Sony a avut planuri ptr. Move inainte ca Nintendo sa lanseze Wii-ul, ceea ce este cam greu de crezut, insa cel putin acum, a afirmat Hirai, au inteles toti de ce a fost nevoie ca PS3-ul sa fie atat de "dotat".

eu nu inteleg de ce nu au continuat sa lucreze la Eye toy ... ca totusi e unul dintre cele mai vandute jocuri pt ps2 . Aveau un avantaj destul de mare avand in vedere ca ei au lansat eye toy-ul din 2003 . I`m just saying .

PS3 3D firmware update to bring 3D Movie and Photo Support
In a recent interview with CVG, SCEE's Mick Hocking confirmed previous reports that 3D Blu-ray movie support will indeed be coming to the PlayStation 3 this year along with support for 3D Photos via two PS3 3D Firmware updates.
The first PlayStation 3 3D Firmware update will arrive in September, while the second doesn't have a date set yet.
To quote: "In September this year, we're launching another Firmware upgrade - and this one is going to upgrade the PS3 to support Blu-ray movies in 3D," said Hocking.
"Again, you won't have to do anything - just connect your PS3. For the film market that's a very significant event. Then later in the year - we're not going to date it yet - the PS3 is going to support 3D photos.
Of course the popularity of 3D isn't just going to come from movies and games. There's 3D cameras on the market, there's 3D camcorders coming on the market in the next 12 months as well, and 3D broadcasts."
3D TV, 3D YouTube coming to PS3, confirms Sony
Sony Worldwide Studios head of 3D games Mick Hocking has spilled the beans on the company’s future plans for 3D integration on PlayStation 3.
Chatting during a recent event in London, Hocking divulged that future updates will see Sony’s flagship console gaining access to several new features, including 3D TV and 3D YouTube compatibility.
“Crucially for us, PlayStation 3 will be able to store all types of 3D content. And we can do this through properly upgrading the Firmware on the platform.”
"So you'll see 3D games in the next 12 months, you'll see Blu-ray movies in 3D, and as soon as the broadcasts start through our PlayTV services, you're going to watch 3D content [via that].
"YouTube will be supporting 3D content over the next 12 months as well - and you'll be able to watch that on the PlayStation 3. And as you start taking 3D pictures of your family or 3D camcorder movies, you can play those back on PS3, too."
“It's a great purchase proposition and future proof,” he said.
