Famito Ueda, creatorul jocurilor ICO si Shadow of the Collosus, a dezvaluit intr-un interviu ca ar dori sa vada cele 2 jocuri pe Playstation 3. Daca acesta vor ajunge pe Playstation 3 ar insemna ca Sony aduce inapoi compatibilitatea cu titlurile de Playstation 2, doar ca intr-un alt mod. Va reamintesc ca 2 dintre cele mai bune jocuri lansate pe Playstation 2, seria God of War, vor fi lansate pe Playstation 3 pe 10 Noiembrie 2009. The Last Guardian, un alt joc produs de Team ICO, va fi lansat anul viitor pentru Playstation 3.

Initially, I didn't want to consider that. I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I've been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users.

Ar fi ceva bun. Sunt cateva jocuri de PS2 care ar merita mutarea pe PS3.
