Astazi cei de la EA Sports au dezvaluit primele informatii despre noul joc din seria FIFA. Chiar daca FIFA 11 a fost foarte bine primit atat de critici, avand un scor de 89 pe metacritic, cat si de fanii seriei, reusind perfomanta de a se vinde in peste 8.5 milioane de bucati pe toate platformele disponibile, producatoru David Rutter le promite fanilor ca el si echipa sa nu se vor culca pe o ureche si vor lucra din greu sa imbunatateasca jocul. Acesta a dezvaluit intr-un articol din OPM ca au o lista imensa cu "improvements" si ca studioul deja a inceput sa lucreze la noul proiect, Fifa 12.
David a recunoscut ca AI nu se comporta asa cum isi dorea el "I think we did a great job with the Personality Plus feature [in FIFA 11,but the the teams [AI] doesn't support that quite as much as it should. As an example, a team doesn't spot that if Peter Crouch in the area, they can lay a load of high balls onto his head." si ca isi doreste sa schimbe cu totul sitemul de la set-pieces "Set-pieces are still a bit lame... I get frustrated by not being able to do quick throw-ins, not being able to quickly select my free-kick takers, on the fly stuff. We're somewhat last-gen in the way the game cuts [before those things]."
In ultima parte a interviului David a preciza faptul ca le-a cerut producatorilor sa introduca mai mult "suflet" jocului. Ce inseamna asta? "Those moments where you take one [player] to his old club and the boo boys come out, or his old team are more aggressive in the tackle towards him. SO you think: 'Wow! FIFA understands not just the game of football, but the sport and passion behind it'"
