Mark Stanley, GM of Latin America for SCEA, has said the success of the PlayStation Move motion controller has "greatly exceeded expectations".
"We're actually continuing to catch up on filling the pipeline with product, as we are in the U.S. and worldwide because demand has greatly exceeded our expectations," he told Industry Gamers.
Sony confirmed in October than it'd already got through 2.5 million Moves, 1.5m in Europe and 1m in the US. And while stories from Japan aren't quite as positive, Stanley says Move's success is ongoing, with supplies still an issue.
"So far, we still don't have enough to supply the [Latin America] region and we're hoping to catch up, so triple-A success for us in the region," he added.
"Something as simple as Move is easily communicated, easily captivated by the region," he said, speaking of Latin America.
"The difference is we've been able very much to define the difference between Move and Wii and Kinect, which has helped us quite a bit."

Germany peripherals manufacturer Snakebyte just announced a new line of PlayStation Move devices which includes not only a motion controller and a navigation controller, but also a camera, the snake-eye, coming with its own TV clip.
The controllers feature a rubberized shell and, interestingly, built-in USB ports which would apparently allow to update the devices with the latest software to ensure compatibility with the PS3 in the eventuality of a future update rendering them useless.

Microsoft unveiled a Star Wars title for Kinect back at E3, with Kinect boss Kudo Tsunoda dating it for Christmas 2011 at the start of the month.
But Mikhailov came out punching against the motion-free tech, saying the wand-like device can do better with Star Wars.
“I’m usually not very aggressive, but I will say it’ll [Move's Star Wars game] be damn better than Kinect could ever do,” Mikhailov told Eurogamer.
“There’s no way Kinect can do a good lightsaber game. Just never. Unless they give you a stick. If they give you a stick then they can do OK, but then they’re going to ruin their whole no controller motto.
“I’ve seen the demo but it’s so scripted, and wasn’t it like, faked?”
In actuality, Sony hasn’t actually announced a Star Wars title for Move so far, nor has IP owner LucasArts. So has Mikhailov spilt his load on something before its time?
“I’m not in the product planning division so unfortunately I can’t tell you much more about that. But technologically it’s 100 per cent feasible.”). Mai bine ne-am �nt�lni toți la IDM la un ping-pong real ... ar fi frumos! Mult mai indicat dec�t să joci cu o paletă fictivă SP �n camerăeu mai joc dar extrem de rar ... poate Killzone III ne va revigora �n ceea ce privește MOVE'ul dar nu �mi fac iluzii, deziluziile dor cel mai tare!
Am jucat Resident Evil 5 cu Move si mi se pare aproape unplayable. Deci nu am mari asteptari de la shootere cu Move.
