Heavy Rain Dev Appears Committed To PS3 News

Quantic Dream, developer of the masterpiece that is Heavy Rain, could be committed to Sony's PlayStation 3 console for its next game if a job ad on the studio's website is anything to go by.

The ad is for a Senior Engine Programmer who will "develop and optimize the different parts of the engine on Playstation 3," and, "work for us on our future, innovative and challenging AAA titles."

Microsoft's Xbox 360 console isn't mentioned at all in the ad, which also lists "Strong PS3 Programming skills (SPUs, multi-thread)" under the 'skills required' section.

This is the strongest indication yet that Quantic Dream is committed to the PS3 for its next project. Although Heavy Rain is a PS3 exclusive, Sony currently has no stake in the studio, which effectively gives Quantic Dream the freedom to pick and choose the publisher that suits it best for its next game.

Following Heavy Rain's release in February, Quantic Dream's founder and CEO, David Cage wouldn't be drawn into confirming an allegiance to the PS3 for the studio's next game, and instead clarified that this simply depends on who publishes the title.

Recent rumours have indicated that this unannounced project is called Horizon and that Cage has already started the casting process for the game, which has an alleged sci-fi setting.

Eu am slim si il sterg cu aproape orice carpa curata, chiar daca in ultimul timp am inceput sa-l sterg cu o carpa fina de sters LCD-uri.

Expect More PS2 HD Collections - PS3 News at IGN

Sony will continue to release HD Collections of PlayStation 2 titles on PlayStation 3.

In an interview with IGN during E3, Shuhei Yoshida, president of SCE's Worldwide Studios, confirmed the company will release more Blu-ray collections of PS2 games in the future.

"Santa Monica Studios had the brilliant idea to upgrade and improve God of War for PS3 with the God of War Collection that we released last year," Yoshida said. "There were a lot of positive reactions from consumers in doing that, and now we get a lot of suggestions for types of packs they'd like to see."

"So we are looking to continue to do these HD conversions," he added.

As avea si eu cateva intrebari:

-Toate, sau cel putin majoritatea jocurilor sunt region-free ? Adica daca iau Uncharted 2 pe Zona 1 pot juca pe consola mea si pe PSN, desi eu sunt din Europa ? (contul il voi face pe US sau U.K., nu conteaza)
-Modelul Slim are mufa "rotunda" clasica pentru casti ? As dori sa conectez asa ceva la el: http://www.altex.ro/catalog/index.js...193&itemId=916
-O intrebare stupida: voi putea conecta PS3-ul la monitorul din linkul urmator prin HDMI : http://www.pcgarage.ro/monitoare-lcd...de-rose-black/ ?
-M-am uitat pe PSN la sectiunea jocurilor Demo,fiind foarte importante pentru mine in alegerea deciziei de a lua sau nu un joc, dar, in comparatie cu Xbox Live unde ai un buton "Download to Xbox360" aici nu vad nicio asemenea functie.Banuiesc ca atat timp cat consola este conectata la internet si sunt logat pe site, pot downloada de pe ea (din meniuri) cate si ce demo-uri vreau eu de pe PSN.

-Toate jocurile sunt RF, doar addon-urile (DLC) țin cont de zonă; dacă nu folosești un TV CRT nu contează zona
-Nu, dar poți folosi un adaptor 2xRCA-female -> 3,5mm jack-female și să lași sunetul pe ieșirea composite din setările PS3 (vezi attachment)
-Absolut, cu cablu HDMI-HDMI (male-male)
-Ai Add to cart și apoi download acolo. Da, poți lua at�tea Demo-uri c�t te ține HDD-ul.
