Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

A list of leaked domain names has set internet tongues wagging that Rocksteady, developer of Batman Arkham Asylum, is working on a game centred on DC's Suicide Squad.

The domain names popped up yesterday on Restera, where fans noted they were registered by a company connected to Warner Bros. Eurogamer understands this to be accurate.

I've heard that one particular phrase registered as a domain - "SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com" - is a contender for the game's final title, and a good summation of what you can expect Rocksteady's next big project to be about.

Other domains registered include "SuicideSquadGame.com" and "GothamKnightsGame.com".

Gotham Knights refers to the unannounced Batman game currently in development at Batman Arkham Origins studio Warner Bros. Montreal.

Both projects are set to be teased at Warner Bros.' upcoming DC Fandome event in August, Eurogamer understands.

Expect to see a little of Gotham Knights, which while unannounced has been continually hyped via various "Court of Owls" hints for more than a year.

Expect to see very little of Rocksteady's Suicide Squad, which is further off from launch. Both projects are being developed for next-gen consoles.

Eurogamer has contacted publisher Warner Bros. for comment.

Fans have long speculated what London-based developer Rocksteady Studios has been working on - it has now been five years since the launch of its last big project, Batman: Arkham Knight.

Teases in that game appeared to point to a Superman project as one potential follow-up, though Rocksteady has been set on Suicide Squad now for years.

[...] Speaking during DC FanDome, Rocksteady Studios' Sefton Hill confirmed Suicide Squad is a "continuation of the Arkhamverse" that began in Batman: Arkham Asylum and came to its seeming end in Batman: Arkham Knight. Hill explained that Suicide Squad is part of this world and will actually let players see the continuation of plot threads and characters first introduced in those Arkham games.

"This is a continuation of the Arkhamverse, so a lot of the threads and storylines you're going to see come to fruition in this game," Hill said.

This also means that Suicide Squad will not be in the same universe as WB Games Montreal's upcoming Gotham Knights, which focuses on the extended Bat-family of heroes in a new continuity. [...]

Pentru ca zvonul nu a fost confirmat in 16 Octombrie, asa cum promitea.
Dar citind mai multe despre el, e destul de logic ca jocul asta va fi live-service.

Sper că era dinainte băgat în poveste Batman si că nu l-au adus acum ca pe un tribut lui Kevin. Să-i dea importanta cuvenită, asa cum va avea fiecare personaj în parte bucățica sa.

Din ce am inteles din ce s-a zis despre el, este ultimul proiect la care a lucrat, deci scenariul era facut si liniile de dialog ale lui au fost deja inregistrate. Nu cred ca au facut ceva din bucati ale inregistrarilor din trecut.

Trebuie sa tinem cont si de faptul ca jocul era planificat pt lansare in 2022, deci jocul este terminat in proportie de cel putin 90% de ceva timp, iar Batman probabil ca voiau sa fie o surpriza - desi era clar ca o sa fie in joc, fiind initiatorul Justice League - dar au profitat de TGA pt extra publicitate/excitement din partea fanilor.
