Street Fighter X Tekken

Rumors of two possible Namco vs. Capcom games surfaced a few days ago from Game Informer. Yet, instead, a different fighting title was announced � Street Fighter X Tekken. Information is light at the moment, but we�ll share additional details with you shortly once they are available.

- For PS3/360
- Officially called Street Fighter x Tekken
- Capcom/Namco started talking about the game around a year ago
- Obviously, it features characters from Street Fighter and Tekken
- Ryu and Kazuya are confirmed characters
- Apparently two games in the works: Street Fighter x Tekken (developed by Capcom), Tekken x Street Fighter (developed by Namco)
- Games won�t be released for awhile

Yoshinori Ono: Street Fighter X Tekken To Release in 2012

Excited to see your favorite Tekken and Street Fighter characters mixing it up? Well hopefully that excitement will last you for the next 2 years. Famitsu.com caught up with Ono-san after the announcement and was able to get new information about the game from the Street Fighter producer.

Development for Street Fighter X Tekken began a couple of months ago but Namco and Capcom have been discussing the project for over a year. Besides Ryu, Nina, Chun-Li and Kazuya Ono wouldn’t divulge in who else will appear in SFxT. He only mentioned that they are considering including “early generation characters from each franchise” in the game.

Just as long a I can play as Tekken’s Sergei Dragonov, I don’t care who else is in the game.

Regarding game play, Ono said that the staff is thinking about making the game 2 on 2 with the basic 8-way lever and 6 button input system. Something called an “assist” feature may also be implemented in the tie-in.

Ono also mentioned that the game’s target release is two yeas after its announcement with the next major announcement no sooner than April 2011 during Capcom’s private event, Captivate. Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter is being developed completely separate of one another. In the spirit of competition, both teams working on the games have agreed not share information with each other.

Street Fighter X Tekken will most likely see a release prior to Namco’s Tekken X Street Fighter. I hope they’re both worth the wait.

Avand in vedere ca de cate ori intru in MP la street fighter jucatorii spameaza hadouken / shoryuken.Da..sunt combo-uri la SF dar foarte putine "miscari speciale" per char in comparatie cu tekken.Daia si intrebam ..in timp ce la SF ai 10 la Tekken ai peste 40 si eram curios daca limiteaza personajele din tekken.

Ai uitat sa pui si "Donkey Kick" la Ryu.

Se poate vedea clar ca gameplay-ul este ceva gen MvC cu chains deci practic optiunile sunt multumitoare pt ambele tabere.
Eu ma gandesc doar la ce or sa faca pt caracterele Tekken impotriva grappler chars din SF? (dpdv al abilitatilor de zoning al caracterelor)

Give them fireballs?
Daca Honda sau Zangief ajung in jocul asta fara ca "Tekkens" sa aiba ceva zoning atunci e putin "aiurea".

Analyzing the Street Fighter x Tekken gameplay footage

1. The game is most likely very early in development, and most features of the SF4 gameplay system, as well as the basic speed and feel of the game, currently remain intact. Even the SF character models are straight out of SF4.
2. Kazuya has a crouch dash which can be very quickly canceled into different moves, just like in Tekken.
3. Ryu has his Joudan kick from SF3. It causes wall bounce.
4. Certain Tekken hit strings seem to be manifested as special moves, while others are manifested as strings. The only follow-ups we know for sure are optional are crouch dash -> Hell Sweep/EWGF and Hell Sweep -> Hook.
5. Throw tech system and throw startup is the same as SF4.
6. The relationship between blockstun and hitstun is the same as SF4 (i.e. blockstun is significantly lower than hitstun).
7. SF4′s quick getup and untechable throw knockdowns are both in, as is something resembling the rolling cross chop getup from Tekken.
8. Backdashes are invincible, just like in SF4.
9. A new �stagger� hitstun allows easy combo opportunities.
10. Ryu has his 3rd Strike target combo.
11. Some sort of team super attack is present, though it�s impossible to tell how it functions.
