Bungie s-a despartit de Microsoft, colaborare care ne-a adus seria Halo, celebra din multe motive (vanzari, gameplay, numarul de fani etc.). Microsoft vrea insa mai mult pentru ca s-a demostrat deja ca seria aduce venituri importante, iar cei alesi pentru a duce seria mai departe sunt 343 Industries. Acestia fac angajari pentru cea ce este mai mult ca sigur un nou Halo.

We are looking for a highly-qualified candidate for the position of Senior Technical Artist. The Senior Technical Artist will play a significant role in establishing and maintaining the production pipelines. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with Art and Development teams to help bring our story alive and push the medium forward.
Job responsibilities

� Eliminate technical obstacles from the content team�s day-to-day workflows.
� Collaborate with Art and Engineering to develop content pipelines, tools & procedures.
� Proactively identify new technologies and techniques that will improve the quality of the tools and/or experience.
� Anticipate dependencies, inefficiencies and risks within the project and propose mitigation or contingency plans as appropriate.
� Find solutions to production challenges as they arise.
� Design, develop, support and test proprietary tools for art content creation.
� Create new HLSL/GLSL shader functionality.
� Collaborate with Art and Test teams to raise run-time art content quality and efficiency in engine.
� Establish guidelines and write process documents for art content creation.
� Create and maintain documentation for the tools used in art content creation.
� Support and train Artists using internally developed tools and piplelines.

Qualifications/Skills

� 5+ years of experience on commercial film/game projects or related fields in real-time graphics.
� In depth knowledge of major art packages
� Strong understanding of Maya and MEL

Numele de Halo este proprietate Microsoft, deci slabe sanse sa apara un joc Halo pe PS3. Un joc facut de Bungie insa poate aparea pe orice platforma din moment ce nu mai sunt dependenti de tiganii din Redmond.

Halo , da e proprietate a Microsoft dar Marathon nu e .... si daca ati jucat Marathon este facut tot de Bungie.Stiu de Marathon pentru ca am primit un laptop de 266 mhz si mi-am cautat jocuri pt el.Atunci cand eram mic am jucat Marathon dar nu mai stiu care exact.Si cand le-am descarcat (Nu le-am piratat sunt free pe net)m-am uitat si pe wikipedia si am vazut lucruri destul de interesante.Era sa uit Logo-ul jocului Marathon pe diferite lucruri din Halo.Google it.

Mai mult ca sigut 343 industries lucreaza la DLC-uri pentru Halo Reach. Nu cred ca va aparea un nou Halo. Iar daca o sa apara, va mai dura o vreme in jur de 3 ani.

Azi mi-am instalat Halo 1 si la instalare ce logo a aparut ? Exact asta.Adica Logo-ul jocului Marathon.Deci jocurile au o legatura.Plus ca jocul Halo e plin de accest logo.

Mai mult ca sigut 343 industries lucreaza la DLC-uri pentru Halo Reach. Nu cred ca va aparea un nou Halo. Iar daca o sa apara, va mai dura o vreme in jur de 3 ani.

Gresit. Bungie a lasat o parte din echipa, sa lucreze la DLC-uri si modificari aduse jocului.

Microsoft's freshly-formed internal Halo studio, 343 Industries, is working on a Halo: Combat Evolved remake.

That's according to "industry chatter" reported in the new Games Master magazine, which writes that the updated game could run on the Halo: Reach engine and arrive ahead of a full Halo 3 sequel in late 2012.
