Ah, would you look at that. Earlier this year there were rumors about Apple ditching the physical home button on upcoming iOS devices, and now we have what appears to be a new iPod touch prototype matching such description, courtesy of CrunchGear via Mr. Blurrycam. According to its About screen, this "DVT-1" (a late milestone) device packs 128GB of memory -- twice as much as the largest available capacity option right now (remember that 64GB iPhone 4 prototype in Hong Kong?) -- as well as a model number "MC550LL" which isn't far off from those of the fourth-gen iPod touches ("MC54xLL"), though this similarity doesn't help prove its authenticity nor indicate whether it'll make it to the market. Still, if Apple does go ahead with this grubby device or at least its capacitive home button, we might see new touch or gesture controls for the bezel area below the screen � la webOS, as suggested by an earlier patent. But hey, let's not take this too seriously for now -- all this could turn out to be just a much belated April Fools' prank, right?

Daca se schimba pe iPod Touch, atunci foarte probabil si la iPhone o sa se regaseasca modificarea.

Sunt mai mult ca sigur ca este vorba despre o chinezarie. Sa fim seriosi. iPod touch cu 128Gb ? Atat au Macbook Air-urile. Chiar nu cred ca este cazul de asa ceva, pentru un dispozitiv atat de portabil, nici macar daca ar filma in 1080p. Sa nu mai spun ca dupa cum arata aici, ecranul este identic si sunt 100% sigur ca odata cu urmatoarele modele, va exista un ecran simtitor mai mare, de cel putin 3.7".

Iar ideea cu butonul capacitiv... nu stiu daca este o idee buna sau rea. Partea buna ar fi ca nu s-ar mai strica (am observat ca deja imi face figuri la i4, luat acm 3 luni, bine ca am garantie) dar cred ca s-ar putea renunta cu totul si sa introduca doar gesturile.

Teoretic, este un concept pentru gesturile multitouch, aparut inca de inaintea lansarii generatiei curente. Practic, nici eu nu stiu ce sa spun. Mie imi place foarte mult butonul, comparativ cu capacitivele de la HTC care nu se inchideau cand vorbeam...

Developers have been given iPhone 4 with A5 processor istead of an A4, the develpers calling it the iPhone 4S as it's identical to the iPhone 4.

To be clear: these prototype iPhone 4S devices are not necessarily the next-generation iPhone. These phones are simply prototype units for developers to get ready for the new phone, rumored to be launching in September. The next-generation iPhone may end up looking just like the iPhone 4 (iPhone 3G-iPhone 3GS sort of thing) but we cannot confirm this. If the next iPhone does end up looking like the iPhone 4, we would assume that Apple would pack in more than just an A5. Probably an 8 megapixel camera, a world phone Gobi chips, and a few other things to spice up the package.

Evolutia era oarecum previzibila... in special la Dual Core. In rest nu prea vad ce super minunatii sa puna. Probabil 1GB RAM si disponibilitate pentru 64 si 128GB spatiu? Sincer eu sper sa treaca la 4" pt. ecran...

Pentru ca abea au lansat iPhone 4 alb si pentru ca inca se vinde al naibi de bine iPhone 4 si poate au hotarat si ei sa-si mai schimbe obiceiurile. Pe mine nu ma deranjeaza. Il pot lansa si in 2012, ca oricum nu am de gand sa-l iau. Eu le schimb odata la 2 ani
