Worthplaying | 'PixelJunk Shooter 2' (PS3) Revealed - New Screens

In PixelJunk Shooter, players pilot a subterranean exploration vehicle to explore the interior of diverse cave-like complexes. The player must affect the surrounding and dynamic terrain to progress. The goal is to safely navigate through each vivid stage and rescue survivors scattered about the cavernous environment.
PixelJunk Shooter 2 will have some features that are new to the PixelJunk series in general and will be bigger than the first game! The developers are busy implementing all the ideas that were left on the drawing board for the first game to make Shooter 2 as jam-packed full of crazy fun as possible�

Q-Games is pretty sure we won�t make a Shooter 3 because everything and the kitchen sink (probably quite literally) is going into Shooter 2.

PixelJunk Shooter 2 to be Playable at E3 | Next Gen News

Dylan Cuthbert, founder and president of Q-Games, has revealed via Twitter that PixelJunk Shooter 2 will be shown at E3 and might even be playable on the show�s floor:

�just finished up the shooter 2 demo for e3� damn it�s looking sweet and is great to play!�

When it was released last December, PixelJunk Shooter received plaudits for its old school shooting gameplay coupled with modern elemental physics. Also, it�s just plain fun.

Q-Games is to bring corrosive acid and creative lighting tricks to PixelJunk Shooter 2, making the game even more of a challenge than the excellent original.Kotaku reports that acid can only be passed by dodging, due to any shots you fire being dissolved. Firing bullets also causes all sorts of other problems, such a stray acid flying everywhere; obviously not an ideal scenario.The site also mentions that new light tricks make an appearance. Staying in the shrouds of darkness for too long will instantly destroy your ship, while you will also be unable to grapple scientists under cover of darkness.
