Batman's detective vision has been given a few enhancements for his outing in Arkham City.
Game Director Sefton Hill has revealed a couple of key new upgrades - which make solving The Riddler's pesky puzzles a little easier for Gotham's Dark Knight.
"As with nearly every area of the game we're enhancing it. One example is the criminal database coupled with the new interrogation mechanic," he told the new issue of PSM3.
"The Riddler continues to taunt the Dark Knight with mind-bending puzzles and exploration challenges, but the location of his biggest secrets are known only to him and people he's told. Rather than unlocking their locations using maps, Batman will be able to scan a gang of thugs to find a potential informant."
Hill also discussed the interplay between the different mechanics - saying that using Batman's FreeFlow combat while trying to spare a single goon for interrogation may present a challenge.
"This is the guy you need to question, but first you'll have to take down all the other gang members while sparing the one you want. That can be tough when Batman's in a seamless FreeFlow combo chain" said Hill.
Rocksteady has said Arkham City is reportedly 'complete' and playable from start to finish.

News: Batman Arkham City: Scarecrow sequences to return?
The Scarecrow managed to steal the show in Batman Arkham Asylum with inventive and immersive sequences that left a lasting impression.
Arkham City game director Sefton Hill was reluctant to talk directly about whether the sequel to Arkham Asylum would feature similar Fear Toxin induced hallucinations, but hinted towards more to come with an always teasing, "stay tuned".
"This is a really tough question to answer," he told PSM3 when asked whether Dr. Crane would return in Arkham City.
"So I hope you don't mind if I duck it by saying that we totally understand how popular the Scarecrow sequences were and that we also really enjoyed creating them."
"We're working overtime to make the best game we can, so all I can say at this stage is, stay tuned."
It's good to know the devs have Scarecrow on the brain and we reckon Rocksteady would be mad not to stick Crane back in the Asylum for Arkham City.
As vague as the above answer might be, we get the feeling that Rocksteady is keeping something big close to its chest. If that means it'll have the same impact as the Scarecrow levels did the first time round, then we don't want to know.

The game will also feature a revamped "detective mode" to give the game a purpose. In the mode, you have to use informants to solve all of The Riddler's puzzles. Only The Riddler and some of his lackeys know his plans, so what you basically have to do is walk up to a gang and beat all of them up except for the one you think you can break for info.

PS Magazine anunta ca este posibila includerea controlului unor vehicule (oare Batmobile-ul) si un Co-Op Multiplayer.
Jocul va dispune si de un nou Detective Mode. pe langa cel clasic, acum trebuie sa folosesti informatori pentru a rezolva puzzle-urile lui Riddler. Doar aesta si cativa din oamenii sai ii stiu planurile, deci practic te duci la un grup, ii casapesti si il lasi in viata numai pe cel cu informatia pentru a il interoga.
Jocul apare pe PC, PS3 si XBOX 360 la sfarsitul lui 2011. Versiunile de PS3 si X360 sunt acum valabile pentru pre-order pe Gamespot si Amazon.

GameInformer anunta ca, in joc Two-Face incearca sa o asasineze pe Catwoman pentru a castiga respectul lumii interlope din Gotham.
Asa-numitul Arkham City pare a fi ridicat de fostul candidat la primarie Quincy Sharp, fost director Arkham - care cumpara cartierul si ridica gard in jurul sau - inspirat din storyline-ul No Man's Land.
Noua perla anuntata, care deja se vede in unele imagini, este ca Batman va avea toate gadget-urile din primul joc inca de la inceputul gameplay-ului, iar pe langa asta va avea si bombe cu fum. Yey!

First AmazonUK, then Play.com and now ShopTo.Net! Yep, all three now listing a March release date for Batman: Arkham City in the UK. So the question is, could the game be sweeping in early?
When the game was first announced to the public it came with an Fall 2011 release date, this would suggest possibly October. Yet Amazon, Play and ShopTo have seemed to push this forward to a late Q1 release.
