Today the PS JailBreak team have confirmed via xiaNaix (linked above) that an updated version 1.1 of the Backup Manager is coming soon which will include new features and tweaks.
Previously it was reported that the PS JailBreak delay was due to a component shortage, however, this was also clarified today, to quote:

Man nu merg jocurile de PS1 si PS2 sau filme blueray backup. Daca vrei mai multe explicatii suna-ma, caci nu avem voie aici cu discutii de warez.
Scuze ca ma bag insa aparent Sony deja ia masuri si pe langa faptul ca impiedica comercializarea acestor Stick'uri, se mai si lasa cu ban permanent pe PSN (cel putin asa sta situatia pe meleagurile australiene):
