Pixeljunk dev hasn’t abandoned PS3, discusses Steam release | VG247

Pixeljunk developer Q Games has explained why it has taken its next game – codenamed ’1-6′ – to Steam rather than PS3 or PS Vita. The studio has also confirmed that it hasn’t abandoned Sony formats.


Speaking with Eurogamer, studio president Dylan Cuthbert explained, “People quickly jump to the conclusion that we’re jumping ship from PSN but we’re simply a very experimental company (we even have a Facebook version of PixelJunk Monsters!”

He added, “And for the slightly different development/publication approach we wanted to try and take for 1-6 Steam seemed most appropriate. Given our history with Sony I think people are being rather hasty in thinking ‘Q is jumping ship’ or other such nonsense.”

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Coming to PSN Tomorrow | Rockstar Games

We know GTA fans on PlayStation 3 have been eager to be able to download and play the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas from the PSN Store for quite awhile now and we're happy to announce that it will finally be coming for download there tomorrow, Tuesday December 11th (the game is also currently available for Xbox 360 players via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace).

Stay tuned as we will officially confirm the availability of San Andreas at the PSN Store here tomorrow at the Newswire.

Nu este un joc alb negru cap coada insa nici nu are o paleta de culori extraordinar de mare. Oricum, eu l-am luat la Bundle cu Journey cand a fost la oferta. Desi la inceput am fost sceptic, l-am terminat aseara si a meritat 100%.

Acclaimed indie horror Lone Survivor coming soon to PS3 and PS Vita – PlayStation.Blog.Europe

It’s with great pleasure that I can finally reveal the details of the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions of our horror game Lone Survivor!

To my amazement, Lone Survivor has turned into something of a phenomenon over the last year. Since its release in March 2012, it’s been nominated for a Golden Joystick, picked by many blogs and magazines as Horror Game Of The Year, and has received consistently glowing reviews (currently 81% on Metacritic).

But what is Lone Survivor? For those who missed it the first time round, this is a psychological-survival-adventure, where the choice of how to survive is up to you. It’s the last record of our nameless, masked protagonist, holed-up in a city full of diseased monsters, starving and exhausted.

When we join him on his quest, he has already begun to question whether what he sees is even real. You can choose to sneak through the game without firing a single shot, or to kill everything in your path. You can eat and sleep well, or resort to drugs to keep going. You can search for survivors, or try to escape the city alone. You can look after your mental health, or descend into madness…

To top it off, I’ve secretly been devoting a lot time and resources into adding additional content into the game, initially exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. As well as Trophies, Cross-Buy and Cross-Play support, the PS version will feature (amongst other things) 19 new items, new dialogue with all NPCs, two extensive new side quests and a brand new ‘Yellow’ ending, featuring an exclusive piece of music. We are also investigating touch control for movement and inventory use. This version really will be enhanced in every way!

Guacamelee! is exclusive to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, and while pricing and cross-buy details have yet to be determined, the game will support cross-save between PS3 and Vita, local co-op on PS3, and Vita second controller functionality with PS3 (specifically used to take a look at the game’s extensive map on the fly).

The game borrows heavily from the “Metroidvania” stylings set down in the ‘90s by the likes of Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but with a humorous, sarcastic and cartoonish twist. There are collectibles galore to find, varied terrain to explore, side quests to do, items to buy, and all of the other conventions of games in the genre(s). And it will be out in the coming months.

Oh, and the game has a Platinum Trophy. And you know how I feel about Platinum Trophies.
