Iron Galaxy shared in a recent blog post all of the big changes coming to the game, including the base game being free for everyone. Previously, on Xbox One, the game was available as a free-to-play title, but on PC you had to buy it outright. Now, the base game will be free-to-play on all platforms, including Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC. The Definitive Edition of the game will also no longer exist, instead being replaced by the Anniversary Edition.


This new edition is a "premium upgrade" for those that want to unlock all 29 fighters and things like skins and accessories; don't worry about those of you that already own the Definitive Edition, as you'll get an upgrade to the Anniversary Edition free of charge. This new version also comes with VIP double XP booster, specialty holiday accessories, and more. For some reason, the Definitive Edition app with developer interviews, concept art, and the soundtrack, as well as Xbox KI Classic 1 & 2 are being removed from the Anniversary Edition, though you can still download them if you owned the Definitive Edition.

Cred ca au luat decizia cea mai buna. Lume multa noua nu avea de gand sa mai vina si sper cu miscarea asta KI sa primeasca ceva mai multa dragoste de la lume (merita incercat si numa pt soundtrack (da nu mi rusine nici cu gameplay-ul ))

L-am jucat digital la vremea lui, dar l-am gasit azi si l-am comandat in varianta fizica pe olx la 19 RON (what??). Nici nu stiu daca vreau sa il rejoc dupa atata vreme dar merita sa fie fizic la colectie. Sincer, nu prea mai vedeam pe nicaieri versiunea fizica si in conditiile in care Tekken 8 se va alatura in curand familiei deja existente Mortal Kombat 1 + Street Fighter 6, am zis ca ar iesi o poza frumoasa, pentru 19 RON

PS: E bun cateodata cate un smoke test din asta pe olx...de ce ai vinde un asemenea clasic pentru 19 RON? Ce faci frate cu ei...
