Dealing death is the way of the world in major video games. That's the stage of evolution we are experiencing now. We are playing more complex versions of Galaga with stories and characters strapped onto them. I assume we will someday move past this phase, but a game like The Last of Us, with all the praise it's garnered, makes me wonder how long I'm going to be waiting for that.

Am inteles in sfarsit ce se tot spunea pe aici vis-a-vis de realism in combat si despre alegerea dificultatii hard. Pregatiri indelungi (exploring, scavenging, crafting) pentru intalniri scurte si intense care se pot termina repede si prost indiferent de pregatire. Cam ca in realitate. Un anumit grad de aleatoriu, extrem de iubit de regizorii americani de film insa probabil extrem de greu de implementat intr-un joc fara sa fie frustrant sau cumplit de dificil pentru jucator.

Ieri seara am jucat cam 5 ore. O pauza de iesit dupa tigari si fructe. In Bucuresti ieri seara ploua cu galeata, deci geaca impermeabila cu gluga. Duc si gunoiul intr-o ghena din spatele blocului unde nu-i niciun fel de lumina. Degetul mare cauta febril thumbstick-ul dreapta pentru lanterna. Cam asta-i cu imersiunea .

Survivor dificulty done, total play time: ~21h, total deaths am uitat sa ma uit probabil vreo 70-80. Now on to "new game plus on survivor", deja stiu pe de rost tot jocul, si toate miscarile inamicilor
