Here’s an interesting video from GT5’s latest appearance at Gamelab in Spain last weekend: watch the dust kicked up by the cars as they clip the inside of the curb around 1:20. As you can see, it appears to be quickly whisked away by a strong breeze. This is quite different from what we saw when GT5’s new Nurburgring circuit was officially revealed back in May -- watch the video below of the same car from the same camera angle, and you’ll see a puff of dust rise straight up into the air, undisturbed.
With that said, the wind effect appears to be somewhat over-exaggerated, and you’ll notice that nothing else in the environment is moving appropriately (most obviously, the trees). So, is this just an errant bug? Or is it, perhaps, a tiny sample of GT5’s weather effects that accidentally slipped into this demo? I’m not convinced just yet, but it’s a curiosity that I hope we will be able to learn more about very soon.

stiu astaplus ca am vazut ca CE-ul e 100 eur pe amazon.fr, era vorba de Ultimate Collection la suma aia mare si am crezut ca aia e singura varianta in Europa.

The music from Gran Turismo 5’s Official E3 2010 Trailer caught the attention of quite a few people. The song was produced specifically for GT5 by Daiki Kasho (who’s contributed music for the series since Gran Turismo 3), but when everyone inquired about this particular tune, there was a problem: it didn’t have a name!
In a cool top-of-the-hat to GT’s fan base, Kazunori Yamauchi has decided to take submissions for the title from us! He’s inviting everyone to submit their best idea (one suggestion per person), and he’ll select his favorite. Aside from the satisfaction of having your title chosen, the real prize is having your name immortalized in the “Special Thanks” credits of Gran Turismo 5.

Gran Turismo 5 Online Multiplayer Detailed
Gran Turismo 6 Will Take Another 5 YearsIn the latest issue of Official Playstation Magazine, the 'My Lounge' for Gran Turismo 5 has been unvieled and detailed.
To quote the magazine:
"My Lounge is GT5's hub from which you'll access all of GT5's new online features. Hit the Community tab and you'll pull up a bulletin board filled with your latest stats and your recent mail from friends and other players.
You can browse through your friends' bulletin boards and check their progress on and offline, and sent out mail and challenges. My Lounge supports voice chat for up to 32 players and lets you host 16-player online races or spectate on races in progress, as well as watch the GT-TV VOD service and race replays."
Think the wait for Gran Turismo 5 was long? Well, you might have to sit down for this one...
We're still reading issue 47 of Official Playstation Magazine, and unfortuantly for fans, it looks as it Gran Turismo 6 will be quite some time:

Nu declarau acum ceva timp ca GT6 o sa fie gata mult mai repede? Avand in vedere ca motorul grafic, masinile si circuitele exista... cam asa ar fi normal. Ahh... stai, GT6 probabil o sa-l anunte pentru PS4 si o sa fie gata cu 2 ani inainte de aparitia PS5.

GT5’s Premium Cars Go “Beyond” PS3’s Capabilities
A few more interesting quotes have emerged from the GT5 article in the latest ”PlayStation: The Official Magazine (UK)”. According to Kazunori Yamauchi, Polyphony Digital has essentially future-proofed the game’s 200+ “Premium Cars”:
“The level of precision we’ve achieved [in GT5] is actually more suited to the next generation of machines. The detail that goes into a premium model [has] gone beyond the level of the current PlayStation.”
This statement complements Yamauchi’s previous remarks about Gran Turismo 6 last November:
“You won’t have to wait as long as you did for GT5. GT5 was basically the creation of a whole new operating system, and developing GT6 will be like adding new applications that run on that new operating system.”
However, since he made those comments, things may have changed according to more recent contradictory reports which hint GT6 may require another 5 years of development – something which would make sense if they now plan to release the game on the next generation of PlayStation hardware…
Ma scuzati, dar vaaaai, cat bull**** cu cei 5 ani de development. Nu se justifica atata timp cand lucreaza un studio intreg la un joc. Trebuie tinut cont ca nu se lucreaza tot timpul de la zero. Sunt anumite proceduri de lucru special gandite sa elimine lucrul de la zero. Bun, modelezi circuitul cutare. Pentru urmatoarea versiune a jocului ai deja masuratorile facute, detaliile din satelit si toate celelalte date luate de la fata locului; nu cred ca se modifica total Nurburgring-ul de la un an la altul.
La fel si cu masinile. Cei dintre voi care au experienta cu modelarea 3D stiu ca masinile, in cazul de fata, se modeleaza la nivelul maxim de detalii, dupa care se reduce 3D-ul masinii la un nivel care sa permita PS3-ului (in cazul nostru), s-o afiseze in joc fara probleme. De exemplu, un Ferrari Enzo o sa arate la fel si peste cativa ani, nu e ca si cum trebuie remodelat de la zero pentru GT6.
Iar pentru modelat masini nou aparute, ori se misca ei incredibil de greu si nu stiu sa modeleze (greu de crezut), ori pur si simplu nu vor sa se grabeasca. Nu ia jumatate de an modelarea si texturarea unei masini, nici macar la nivel ultra-maxim-hiper-realistic, exista si aici proceduri de fluidizare a procesului de lucru. Bun, ia prima masina mai mult timp de modelat si texturat, restul de masini modelate trebuie sa mearga mai repede.
Inca un lucru, pe partea de creatie: nu e ca si cum trebuie sa creeze nu stiu ce univers fantastic, cu poveste nemai�ntalnita, cu nu stiu cate zeci de personaje, nu e MMORPG sau Action Adventure, e un joc cu masini. Unul mare, ce-i drept, dar un joc cu masini, asa ca timpul pe care alti developeri il consuma cu dezvoltarea unui scenariu mega complex, aici este redus mult.
